that, and the fact that the work is being done by a mate of mine, on his restricted driveway after he gets home from work. so no fancy tools or workshop. not even a roof over the car lol

I love Bora's and this is no different. Love it since you first built it! Engine swap looks pretty good.
Can I ask why nobody ever does 4x rear 3SDMs? Look so much better than the fronts.

theres a few guys doing 9.5j's all round. only issue is, with the law. i live in central london and it iaint easy lol 5-0s love me, and they are for ever giving fines and taking my car off the road to have re mot'd cos of wheel/tyres. so ive basically have had enough and from now on only do legal tyre sizes and fitment. else it ruins my daily drive in the local area. i live between 4 police stations, so you can imagine the ducking and diving gets me only so far

so olly got started on a few bits here and there. just waiting for a few more other things to arrive again
im going to copy and paste his words and pics from my other thread over on ukmkivs to here
i'm sure hamz won't mind me addind a few progress pics, it's been a little slower than normal due to me supporting a sidecar cross team at the weekends so i get the odd day and evening in here and there...
out
modifying mounts to fit the TFSI
wrinkled
audi tt box on
slight mod to transfer bracket
close
perched
first look at turbo exit and sizing up downpipe route....
now after i sold my bora and been working on a lot more TFSI cars doing turbo conversions etc i had a little idea
PD150 front panel off a mk4 diesel
Rad pack
THS S3 TFSI FMIC (revo edition)
mounted PD a/c rad and trimmed mounts
mounted and trial fit bumper
(check out the stone chips!!)
bracket to relocate hard pipe and make it possible to use TFSI silicon FMIC pipe
now the bit that has had me a little concerned after Qpeng reported problems fabing a DP, once the lump was in i refitted the
subframe so i could see what sort of piping would be needed to fab a 3" DP run
3 x 90* 76mm
1 x 45* 76mm
1 x K04 flange
1 x 4" long 76mm flexi joint
2 x stainless lambda bosses
parts arrived friday so set about mocking up a route, trimmed the 90* down to the correct lengths, rotated to the correct angles,
marked and taped to test fit
once i was happy with the run, spot welded it and tried again
and looks like this
welded it up, need to add in the lambda bosses, add 3" on the bottom then fit the 76mm V band connector thats has been ordered, once thats on make a small section with the flexi on to join to the centre section.
