As far as the subframe connectors go... You could remove them and put in a roll cage to gain back the support. Just a thought.... I am tossing this around myself. At most i think it'll only gain like 1.5" but hey if it helps. I know I still need to get out there and see if it is in fact the next lowest component besides the exhaust but its like 20* outside so it'll have to wait.

I just put the sfc's on like a month ago, and they're full length weld-in. No way they're coming off. I was considering a cage, but decided against it, because I like my interior more luxurious and comfortable rather than performance-oriented. Hence the leather and fur, haha.

IMO, the sfc's aren't even a big limiting factor in ground clearance. I think the top of the tire would hit the top of the inner fender before the sfc's even hit the ground.

i like what your doing with this build, but just really dislike the saleen wing. i know your not going for traditional fox styling but that wing is a big no no on verts and coupes. the car looks great with out it. that wing just makes the car look too ricey IMO. too each there own

Only thing I'm worried about on mine...pretty sure I'm not gonna have enough room for a 9 when I switch to coilovers up front.

They'll just keep your frame rails and floor pans off the ground. Haha.

This. I don't care that its a vert...I just don't like Saleen wings if they're not on Saleens. Haha.

Well I kinda like the ricey look, haha. It is a drift car, anyway...
I haven't got sick of the wing yet, but if I do, I still have the old trunk with the luggage rack and small spoiler on it.

I'm going on a 3000 mile trip across the country when summer comes around, and the luggage rack may come in handy... Or I may just stack even more stuff on the huge saleen wing, lmfao.

I personally love the way the car looks now... Just gotta get the back rims on...

By the way...... What do you guys think about the hood? I'm thinking of going back to stock.

Hey man what are your overall plans for the stang? Ive noticed when ppl add their plans they get better directions/ideas from others. Just tryin to help haha and I'm interested in this build!!

As for the hood I kinda like it but for styling ideas put the top down and look at it because i have noticed some cars look great with top up but with top down they look wack!!

For the wing..... Verts look really long without one but the saleen is to tall. If it didn't stand so tall it would probably look good!! Maybe modify it to slim it down? It's been a while since I've looked up foxbody vert spoilers so I can't think of any good ones ATM.

                  Just some thoughts! Happy modding!!

like i said to each there own. all im saying is u can have a nice drift car and not be all Riced out. lol

if your going for that ricer look that hood is perfect for that look. keep it on.
if i had a GT Vert this would be the wing(spoiler) that i would put on. nice clean and suttle. keep this wing in mind if u ever decide to get rid of that Ricer look. lol

You really don't like my wing, do you.... LOL

We'll see, once I get my back wheels on...

                          Btw, an update:
I painted my passenger door, but unfortunately I didn't compensate for the 40 degree weather and slight humidity...
I got some mad runs and a little orange peel...
But whatever, I may try to fix it tomorrow, but if not, my paint has a satin finish anyway, so it won't be that noticeable.
                          The paint is temporary anyway.

Some time next year I'll be painting the car this color:

I really don't have much plans.... haha.

I should get a better suspension setup for the rear, because my springs fall out when I lift the car from the body, lol. Any ideas??? I was thinking maybe limiting straps... Coilovers would be nice, but budget does not permit for it, at the moment... Plus I'm waiting to come across a cobra IRS, so I don't even want to put money in the solid axle...

And I also want a turbo, but that won't come for a while... I kinda wish I would have bought a turbo instead of all this suspension crap, lol

Sorry for the lack of pics, guys!!!!

I vote stock hood and getting rid of the saleen wing as well. I need a new decklid so bad, mine's got a sizeable dent in it.

"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

I know a guy that tack welded the springs to the LCAs on his fox back in the day. Haha.

Run a small bolt together plate through the lca that clamps the spring to the lca? That way there's no welding, but it'll be easily removable. I'll be doing it on my stang soon.
