Red body with a black roof and gold centers for the wheels? Yup I think I'm in love with the colour combination.

Okay, a lot of things have been going on with the build and I've been neglecting updates. I've also been screwing around with the Touring a bit...

The compact has finally gone into PAINT! This is like no big whoop to some folks I'm sure but I had like 3 painters flake out and I was getting more than a bit peeved.

    Loaded Up

    Getting Coats

That "Wet Wet" that the Kids are all about!

Engine Bay shaved and sprayed up all nicely

    Back at Budski's for reassembly

Paul from EWheelWorks putting some color to the Type 1's

More updates to come, slowly I'm sure. Now I have to finish this up so I can get cracking big time on The Grocery Getter...

    All good things

Okay, back to some updates - a lot of things have been going on and progress is in high gear!

First off, had to get the rear bags in check as they were never really properly mounted (this caused some rubbing from the axle ... not ideal)

Now proper brackets are welded in!

    Now, shave all the things*!

I figure, I never really used the rear wiper, and I never listen to the radio so ... dump the bits related to that.

And .. where we're sitting now.

Stay tuned for an upcoming update, there's a shot where I took a sip of the potion, hit ___ _____ _____ ______.

*except for the beard, the beard stays

    Relocation underway

Sure, stock fuse boxes are cool and all but let's face it - they aren't eye candy.

    So let's dissect and dismantle!

And what the hell, pull it on through that firewall to see where we can move it.... hmmm

On a sidenote, because pics are fun, and you like fun ... don't you?

Here are the wheels I'm trying to knock out for the 540iT before the warm weather hits us!

Just need to finish polishing, then assemble, then mount the summers on 'em - then I either go matte white or snow camo for the body, because summer means snow? I haven't worked it out and I'm overdrawn at the memory bank today.

That task was on Budski, I'm two hours out and have been managing two houses, I can tell you this though, interior plans have shifted a bit.
