Thanks! I feel like it is coming together exactly how I was hoping.
I am in the middle of getting a new style rear spring setup from BC. They FINALLY switched from a custom wound spring that fits the mazda3's oem spring seats to an upper and lower spring seat that get bolted in place and hold 62/65mm diameter linear springs.
I see some 9-10k rear springs and better rear fitment in my future! I rub the flares on highway bumps now so it has to be raked a little until I can stiffen the rear springs from the current 6k.

I got my new rear suspension setup put on today. Picked up a set of BC's "new" rear lower spring perch/cups and a pair of 5" 12k rate Swift springs to go in them. WAY outside my strut valving but it will do for now. I'll probably get new struts next season.
180mm 6k Mazda3 wound BC spring on the right. Swift 5" 12k 2.5" off the shelf spring on the left.
The hole where the lower seat gets installed.
Lower seat in place.
Bolt and sandwich plate that hold it together.
First installation attempt. MASSIVE FAIL. In theory it looked good with both an upper and lower spring seat but when I drove the car around the block the two metal pieces made contact over bumps and caused a ruckus. Back on jack stands she went.
How she sits currently. Removed the upper seat completely. The 2.5" spring sits nicely in the space for the oem spring anyway. Had to turn the lower perch collars way up so the car wasn't on the ground. Could still drop another 1.5" easily.
