Honestly man, just do you. Whatever you feel more comfortable with!
I'm a truck guy (one if the main reasons I haven't sold mine yet). I want to build a EG eventually with more "race inspired" mods.
That would be cool, but I don't have the kind of money you need to make a ride fast. Low and slow is the cheapest route in my opinion. But I do have a friend with a b series hatch that is putting out 500 whp on pump gas and that thing is fucking wicked
500 whp on front wheels.. just so it can switch lane by itself when turbo spools at 6000 rpms and hits 9krpms on-the-spot...
Keep the truck, much more original.. Slammed civics are everywhere.
trust me dude im keeping the ranger, I was actually lurking through your thread when I decided to text my dude with the civic and tell him im backing out on the trade.
and I actually got some small stuff done to the ranger for a change.
I tinted the 3rd brake light all red
and I went bedlss in prep for doing some rear end work
sorry there was no pics, imgur is deciding it doesn't want to work for me anymore sssooo I guess im gonna make a flicker or something of that sort
tinted the 3rd all red
so like i said im bedless for winter now
the 4 panel in the ranger
my inner cooler
mocked up
thats all for now, but i should be getting the frame notched this weekend so more lows quite soon
As you all asked for, new wheels are to come. Their not gonna have hella offset but it's gonna be flush. No hints, pics or anything until I get some tires on them and get them mounted.
So I said screw the notch for now, and took out the bumpstops and went ahead and dropped it. Now I have a 9" drop in the rear. I'll put up some pics later but you can check some out right now on my IG @true_jsmith
The top of my frame was at the top of my tire
And these are the wheels I was talking about, I'm gonna be getting some 225/40/15's for them and with the new height and everything I will be tucking wheel
this is gonna look killer, especially with those mustang wheels, you def need the notch...are those 3 inch blocks? look into getting a flip kit, or new hangers and shackles, i have 2 inch blocks on mine that i plan on removing, i have a set of 4 inch shackle hangers im putting on and then maybe keeping an 1 or less of the blocks. either way good work bud!
