Nice change man.
You should really sort out that paint job, it looks rattlecanned and without a clearcoat. You should sand it a bit and clear it over.
I'll be looking forward to what kinds of mods you will be doing.

It's just a flat black rattle can job. We were just fucking around and cleaning the wheels and he got tire shine on the paint and it made it look glossy so we just tire shinned the whole fucking carbut paint will be one thing that I will take care of. I'm not sure what color yet, and thanks man really appreciate it

So before the actual trade goes down I want you guys from S/W opinion. Should I keep the truck and try to finish it up or trade for the hatch? Both have their ups and downs it just comes down to.... Well I'm not exactly sure what it comes down to. Jut please put down some type of opinion, I appreciate the hell out of any comments and suggestions

You would certainly be a little bit more "original" with your Ranger, but let's be honest, you're already having trouble getting off the ground with it.
The EG is a great car, but it's so cookie-cutter common now that it's difficult to stand out and be original. That said, there isn't a whole lot of room for "improvement" on that car besides a paintjob, so you're basically relying on the previous owner's glory.
Hard decision, depends on what you want to do down the road. That said, leave the bed on your truck, and don't try to make it something it isn't- a drift truck.BB6 Prelude . . E36 ///M3 . . VA WRX Limited . . 1969 Nova

Thanks man, I really do appreciate it and I get what your saying the hatch wouldn't be enough to change to really personalize it or even make a build for it. And a drift ranger as much as I would like it would probably be taking it too far.

Honestly just choose whatever you will feel better working on and whichever one you like more. Doing things for the sake of being "original" is kind of strange, almost nothing is original anymore and others will eventually do the same things as you thinking they are also being original. My saturn may be somewhat original but the reason I've worked on it and love it is because it's a platform that's relatively simple, it's inexpensive and it has a somewhat Japanese feel that I like... If i was just building it for originalities sake I would not enjoy it as much as I do. End rantPick the one you like more.

I would build an EG, not to be original, but to pay homage to the japanese SiR-II model using period correct japanese parts. I would tear it down to a bare shell and rebuild it like the factory would have. That is just one example of what you could do with an EG. This is my vision for the perfect eg. This isn't about me though, it's about what you want.
Imagine a perfect ranger, or a perfect civic and see which one you would want more. Which one would be more perfect for you.
You know the history of your ranger better than the civic, maybe he is willing to make this trade, knowing that the civic has problems that he doesn't want to get fixed.

Personally I think you might be better off modding the civic. The reason I say that is they are relatively cheap to build an modify, there are many models that have interchangeable parts, there is a massive database on what can be done to these cars and the aftermarket is pretty huge for it. Won't make the decision for you but I will say so far I love owning a civic.
