UPDATE!!!

Got the car out of the paint building and back in the main shop. Time to get this bitch finished!



Headlights and turn signals



Tail lights, gas cap and filler neck, and backup lights. Need to redrill the whole where the backup light wire grommet goes to get them wired up and working.



Also the side trim thingys behind the doors. Didnt get a close up of them

Rear bumper. Still needs some shimming to make it fit flusher to the body.



Front bumper and stuck the old grill trim in for the hell of it.

Still not finished but its almost driveable and Im extremely excited. Started looking at wheels also and Im thinking 16x8s for now. I know most of you **** reps but xxr 521s are probably going to be the ones for a while. The only LM style wheel I can find in 16x8 5x114.3 at a price that will allow me to afford to do other things to the car. Later on Ill probably purchase some CCWs classics or something similar from them.

Not an update, but I have a question. What do you guys think about the front valance on this mustang? Thinking about getting one of these and putting an oil cooler in the gap behind the bumper or fog lights. Yes or no??

So not an update but an update on the lack of updates and lack of wheels. Over Christmas Target had that identity theft scare for anyone who used a debit card there at a certain time and I did and so now I have been waiting for going on 3 weeks for my new card to arrive so I can order my wheels. This time has allowed me to rethink my decision on wheels.

The wheels I have decided to buy are Varrstoen V4s in 16x8 +25



I am probably going to have to run at least a 20mm spacer all around. Anyone know of a quality 5x114.3 center bore 66.1 wheel spacer that wont kill my budget? Id like to stay under 200 for a set of 4 if possible.

Well I ended up with a different set of wheels and I was going to make this a drawn out teaser but fuck it not that many people are even watching this build sooooo...

UPDATE!!!




BAM!!!

1" inch spacers on the front 1/4" spacers in the rear. Rear could use more but the brake kit Im looking at moves the hub out another 1/4" so Im going to wait til then and see what needs to be done. This is about the only progress other than a new carb which has yet to be setup because I am waiting on a new throttle linkage to get here. Once I get the engine running Im going to take it to have the alignment and exhaust put on.

As for lows I'll probably cut a coil or a little more off the front, that should get it sorta low for now. Still need to roll the fenders before I get too low.

The wheels are Varrstoen V3s 16x8 et25 with 205 50 and 225 50 Kumho ecstas. The fronts have a slight stretch.

Don't get a shelby rep front bumper. They only look good if you are going for the full conversion.

Just do a duckbill spoiler from a MK1 golf, and an external oil cooler.

Thats a picture that I got the oil cooler from. Going to put some inboard foglights on it and see how that looks then see about the oil cooler. Those duckbills are cheap compared to the aftermarket 69 mustang style ones Im definitely going to see about getting one of those and making it fit.
