Yeah sorry theyre all from my ipod touch unfortunately. I had a nikon D3100 but it was stolen a while back. Never even got to use it to take pictures of the carOriginally posted by bianchini View Posti hope you are gonna upload better pics man. looks like you used a potato to take those photos!
Im planning to buy a new one soon though.
Yeah its not going to be the lowest thing in the world but not going to have the ugly reverse rack it used to have either. ThanksOriginally posted by MrJereMoose View PostAwesome, I've wanted to do up a '65 for a while. Can't wait to see it all done. Good luck!

Sounds good! Another route could be the track/race look

That's what I would like to do. That front bumper at least and similar wheel setup. A lot of the parts to do that with are crazy expensive. I'm going to get it on the road first then the work will really start.Originally posted by MattyHacks71 View PostSounds good! Another route could be the track/race look

Cutting springs is usually ok on classics and older cars because they have nonprogressive spring rates. Right now I have 1 inch lowering springs in the front bu I can tell it will be needing more. As for the rear it's a 4 link coilover conversion of raising the rearend off the leaf springs with spacers. The rear is somewhat low already I need to get the rims on it and roll the fenders to see how much lower it can goOriginally posted by mike-81-240d View PostMy dad used to have a real documented 66 GT350. It was the super rare Green with white stripes... Anyway, he lowered it via cutting the springs but this was back in like 1973.

If you like the classic race car look, you should definitely check out some of the Mustangs that race in the Muscle Car Masters over here, I love the look of them. Here's a link to Google image so I don't clutter your thread with pics of other cars. LinkOriginally posted by Huffy View PostThat's what I would like to do. Read that, it will inspire you
What colors on the GT350 scheme? Red over black would have looked sick.

I had never even thought of that! As disgusting as the original color was I think that would have looked sick!Originally posted by skidkid View PostI like where this is going
but i still couldnt help but think it would look badass repainted the original colour with the exact wheels in your display pic :]
Update: Engine and trans and all that good stuff are going in Tuesday! Pics soon. In the mean time I need to know what can I use to polish the aluminum tailshaft of the the transmission as well as the bell housing? I know those parts will rarely be seen but I have a strong attention to detail with this car.
Also a bird flew into the paint building and took an enormous shit right on the underside of my trunk lid which had just been painted so we resealed what we thought was a sealed room. Now I get to sand the underside of the trunk and get the shit off. Thought about leaving it for the sake of a conversation piece though (as if the car isnt enough of one).
Also great pics and thread.Last edited by Huffy; 11-25-2012, 10:33 PM.

What mods to the engine are being done?
Not much for now. Mild cam and polished heads. Haven't bought the carb that I will run on it yet. MSD is the brand that I think I remember that makes and EFI system for carbureted engines that looks like a carb but is electronic or something idk my uncle showed it to me in a hot rod magazine. I'd look it up but I'm at school

Loving this build. I've been seeing cheaper Stang's locally lately and want to jump on one.
funny about the spring comment, I took a picture of the rear spring from my '66 Rambler. I couldn't believe it was almost 20" tall (compressed was around 14" when I measured for the bags).
direct link to avoid further derailment:
