FINALLY got my buddy to order a set of coilovers. Got them in his golf the other day, slammed it all the way down to check clearance and immediately raised it up for the snow. Can't wait till spring!

This was my photoshop hack job that convinced him to buy the coils:

    Clearance slammed:

    Shitty picture:

And a RARE picture of his hands getting dirty (asked me to take it so he could convince people he helped lol):

More updates on the SS and EG as soon as spring rolls around. For now debating on what set of wheels to use on the EG next... Thoughts?

Btw, I just read your post about being in the engineering field. My boss at Coan is kind of a strange dude and very sporadic with his hiring process. If your interested in a job up there all I can say is stop in one day and talk to him, that's what I did.
I'll definitely have to do that, thank you for the heads up! And yea, the wheels were awesome but the ride was absolutely horrid. If i went with that far of a stretched tire again it'd have to be on air ride

It's been a LONG time since my last update, but the car is still going strong.

Some video links of the burnout:

I've definitely been having some fun with this car. Now that the rear diff was fixed (new Eaton TrueTrac, 373's, hardened axles) i can finally beat on her a little.

Both my cars together (first time ever)

I've also been busy trying to help my friend get into the stance community... He's got a great start with his Golf MKIV, love the color. haven't got him on coilovers yet but i did get him to try a different exhaust setup. Other than his shitty cat it sounded pretty decent

Here's a pic i took of his ride:

If you have any pics of a sick Golf make sure to send me a link! I need help convincing him lol

exactly, the cost of moving the axle back an inch is about the same as (for me) ported & polished heads along with ceramic coated longtube headers. I know which i'd rather have

^^This is something i'm still debating on. It's not just a trailing arms purchase, i'd also have to get an extended DS and more than likely adjustable upper arms. So all in all it's over half a grand just to move back the axle. ESPECIALLY with Hotchkis (too expensive IMO, i'll be going with UMI)
