The stock glass has flutes and those ruin projector cutoff. Waste of time and money. Open the ones you have now, it's not rocket science.

    Good looking Impala tho!
thanks! I won't do a projector retro on these for a long time, if at all. Love they way they look now and I just received my HID's this afternoon. No point in wasting more money when i have a ton more to do

I might try on a set of stock caprice lights that i'll pick up for next to nothing. Really don't want to ruin my new one pieces that i got.. my main priority is to get the ball joints and everything suspension wise straightened out for IA this coming weekend.

Splitting headlights open is easy, just pop them in the oven at around 200 degrees until the sealant is soft enough to pull apart. Then just drill out where you want to put the projectors and bond them in. Just use some silicone sealant and make sure that you get a nice even line across the whole thing. Once the sealant cures over a couple of days you're good to go.

They're wonderful cars, I don't like dailying mine just because of the stall and gears (bad gas mileage) and i like to keep it clean lol

Those would look sick. I actually have the chance to pick up my buddys SS for cheap. Debating it for a summer daily.

Eh i'm not totally against the all black look. It's grown on me very quickly.

To get more of a "modern" look I've been looking into smoothing out the body. The one piece lights are a perfect start. Going to Altezza style rear tails and blacking those out will get the rear lights smooth. Next would be the front and rear smoothie bumpers, and the trunk with an integrated spoiler instead of a bolt on one. Those are all starts. Really would like to ditch the vette wheels and go with some black work meister s1r wheels

    Get those vette wheels on!

Car still looks great, I like what you did with the head lights.

I kind of wish the black was broken up a bit more though, like getting some cheap egay chrome tail lights and tinting them red or something for a more modern look.

oh yea you need extended upper & lower control arms, and a longer DS. Plenty of options, none of which are cheap. That's the only reason they aren't centered now but they will be with the new wheels. They were forward because back in 91-93 the caprice had rear fender "skirts" and they were designed so that the wheels were centered. When they changed the design in 94 GM apparently didn't want to just redesign the control arms to make it look better. Corner cutting

Is there a kit or some way or has anyone ever tried to center the rear axle on these things? I've always liked the look of them but the rears being so far forward has always bothered me
