Bringing this thread back from the dead because the car came back from the dead. And it attacked me.

Actually I just had a lot of stuff going on and it was hard for me to work on the car. But here's the progress so far:

Interior was gross and full of hay and other farm stains.

The engine bay way gross too.

My grilles were broken as well as the kidneys and indicator lights on the bumper

And I had this hideous tint on the rear two doors and the rear windshield.

So I put on a spectre air filter to suck in nice warm air for the time being until I could find another quality stock airbox.

Got a nice optima battery too for real cheap.

Also found this quick release leftover form my racekor. This will be installed soon.

I couldn't drive anywhere because I was rubbing too bad so I had Sean at the FitGarage come over and roll me fenders.

    Better.

My fren Wyatt got a parts car and gave me the nice grilles off it and also a new hood that doesn't have a big wiener keyed into it

SO I plasti-dipped the grilles and kidneys

Went to go install the new hood but then this happened

    '

    JAWS

I went to pull up the hood mount not really thinking and it snapped up because there was no load and pinched my index finger between the 4th hole down and that little tab. Luckily I had a friend there who was able to cut the hood strut with a sawzall and free my mangled finger.

My finger was stuck between the bar and that little tab. Looked completely like a pancake when it was stuck and I could feel the metal pushing against the bone. Gnarly.

I definitely thought it was broken so I let him drive my R to the hospital.

It wasn't broken it was just super bruised and damaged my nerves, because of the nerve damage though I didn't feel a thing when they were cleaning the wounds.

Fast froward a few weeks and my wounds on my finger were healed and I decided to work on the runt car again. Granted I still had no feeling in my index finger buttfuck it.

I was driving around for a little bit then this happened:

Gross idiot welds held my exhaust together and they finally gave out.

    So I started thinking...

With a snap crackle and pop I had dual side exits that were straight from the headers back.

    It's the loudest thing.

Pipes are too cute though so I'm planning on making some racecar style tips or housings or something so it looks a little bit more testosteroney.

    Ex:

Gave the car a bath then realized that I needed to do a tuckjob. Maybe a little rub'n'tuck.

    Did the tuckjob

The car was far too low to drive around central oregon comfortably with our mongo ruts in the road so I built myself a skitplate.

    Runt welds needed grinding

    Skitplate MK1 all mounted up

1/4" thick steel should do the trick protecting me from all the evil in the world.

Eventually the bolt heads just ground clean off so I made the seat in the skidplate conical and recessed the new bolts inside of it so they wouldn't get ground clean off.

Tires were low too so that's why I'm only a half inch off of the ground. Normally I'm about an inch off the ground.

Drive around for a while without a passenger seat because the hinges and every single motor were broken so I chucked it and decided to just run seatless.

After a while that got old so my pal willis said he had a parts car with a comfort passedger seat with motors that worked(!)

    I took it

I also shampooed all the puke stains out of the carpet (don't ask) and got a new heater blower motor because mine seized.

I rode in my friend wyatt's car and his was way faster than mine and also had more valve noise so I decided something was wrong with my car. My valves are too quiet and I have no low-end power and lots of stuttering after checking all the vaccum lines and various sensors and determining that thay were good.

    SO valvejob.

And to be a trendy e28 owner and paint my valve cover:

It was a good thing I did the valvejob because I found this.

    Missing banjo bolt!

    Found it here

It was lodged in the oil return hole and I was not too happy. I managed to free it and replaced it with a new one and loctite'd it so that it wouldn't happen again.

I sanded and primed the valvecover while my friends took off my tint

after 89039409208534056893548349573489057348573 hours we got the tint off

and I painted my valve cover the same color as my hood

only STIHL tools allowed don't settle for less.

I re-assembled everything and forgot to take photos and then started the car up.
Everything is so smooth now, more low-end power and no terrible stuttering under acceleration. All the valves were way too tight, there's more noise now but more POWARRRR.

I still don't really have much low-end power due to my straight pipes but I'm going to throw in a resonator just so I'll have a little more back-pressure.

After all the hard work we wend and drove around and looked sexy

So this is where I'm at now. I'll be updating this dumb thread much more often now. If any of you even care.

What to look forward to: nothing

Kidding, the car is going to become dorifto kingo I think. I'm going to weld my diff and refresh the entire suspension. That means some very nice coilovers may or may not be coming soon

Also ordered new shifter bushings to clean up all my gross slop and am going to do various other maintenance bits.

In the next day or two I might take good photos with my expensive camera. Who knows.

Oh, and the car's new name is Jaws.

So I took some pretty photos.

Car will get a new electric radiator fan shortly as my fan clutch is runt.
Yes I know my drivers side sits higher than the passengers side but that will get fixed when coils come.

              Overall I give a 10/10 would bang.
