Greetings stanceworks. This is Olga:

She is a 1987 535is that I picked up for $800 one day because I felt like being cool and unique and spiffying up an e28. Pardon the pics for now, they're all iPhone until I start remembering to bring my dslr when I work on the car. This is going to be an extremely budget build, I can see the car evolving in many different ways but she will never be "nice".
Lil bit about myself! My name Ben, I live in Bend, Oregon. There are a bunch of eurofags who drive low german cars here (willis, C.T., volvosome, wyattlay). All their cars are real cool.
I normally drive around everyday in this lovely lady

I still don't have a name for her because she's so mysterious and slutty but she's an R32.
Being my daily driver and all, there's not a whole lot I can tinker with anymore on her.
I just enjoy driving her!
I also have this thing

ignant
It's a Rubasu rarry car that I've poured my heard and soul into these last 7 months. Dream come true honestly. Such a joy to finally be competing!

I got that ugly thing that was in the first picture! But she's not really that ugly, she's like one of those fat girls that if she were to just loose a hundred pounds or so she'd be really hot.
When I bought her, a lot of stuff was wrong; a tail light housing was busted, the front lip was falling out, there were dents and scratches out the wazoo and some menstrually frustrated woman keyed the hood... a lot.
AND on the drive home from picking her up, the key broke off in the ignition and she overheated. Swoop!

It also came with this cool 4x4 badge

I'm not even going to list the amount of stuff that's broken. There's a lot.
The good thing though is that she runs! ODO is stuck at 264,632 so there's probably about 300k on this goon.
BUTT
She runs beautifully, compression is very close and there's no sign of anything too terrible engine wise. Plus when I went to change the plugs they were all brand new
So I seafoam'd her to get the rough idle to go away and the little hesitations throughout the powerband. Worked great! I also did all the other tune up stuff like cleaning stuff and new filters. She runs even better now!
The hesitations are still there though and I have a feeling those may be leaky vacuum lines or other stuff I'm too lazy to look for right now though.
She spewed lots of smoke

and some old lady drove by and her face was like:

It has a new radiator which is great, buuu the thermostat was broken and opening too early so the engine would never warm up fully. Like 1/3 fully warm all the time.
So I swapped the thermostat and installed it backwards.
No I really installed it backwards

d'oh. No wonder my parents have always told me I was special.
Re-did the stat the right way and bled it and whoopdy yipee golly gee it warmed right up and stayed there.
Sometime while this stuff was happening Mr. Willis informed me that his wheels were for sale, and that I should purchase them. Purchase them I did. Igor's a dick for selling his shit to his sister.

The next logical step was obviously to fill the radiator with new fluid and fix the loose fan clutch bolt.
So I cut the springs:

But just the front ones because I'm a trendsetter.
But then the back ones because I suck at jokes. Also fixed by broken lip, zip tiessss.

The back can come down a little more but I'll do that once I roll and pull my fenders because right now it rubs toooo much. I'll make some cool kustom adjustable coilovers with the help of alex and get it to be lower.
I really love this car so far.
Next on the agenda is a hood delete for now because the latch on mine is broken and dented and it gets stuck all the time; fender rolling, new taillight, purp tint delete yo, new heater core, engine spacing, bumper tucking, and moar springcutting are also in the books so I can drive it lower and stay warm.
Sorry for the longass post but I've had her for a few weeks and finally got around to starting this thread! Thanks for looking!
