So I snapped a few shitty cellphone pics the other night

And snapped this one while the pool guy wasn't looking

So I seafoamed it last night and it ran a tad smoother and today I pulled the spark plugs to see that the little filament that makes the spark is completely gone, so new plugs.
and while they were out I rotated it to top dead center on le compression stroke and checked the distributor for the timing and...... It's in the right place....
Although it runs a LOT smoother cause of the plugs it still needs some gas to start up, and I don't think it's idle is set too low because the rest of the time it seems to idle high, so idk, any help is appreciated!

So I'm thinking Gilbert is actually a whiney little girl that is just getting her period.....
It runs fine right after I do something to it, like after I changed the plugs it was running so good I literally couldn't tell theres a timing problem, then awhile later takes 20 minutes to start cause it's misfiring so bad, even sounds like theres a knock in the motor, which is probly just the timing, I'm still learning.. It also seems like it's idling too low cause it wouldn't stay on, which is why it wouldn't star because I would start it, and it would stay on as long as my foot was on the gas, and then if I let off it would slowly get lower and lower until it cut off, and then after doing that a few times, then letting it sit for a few it started up and stayed running, any clue?

love the helpfullness in this community, sorryto hear about the shitty motor situation, why not see if you can find a junkyard motor? might have better luck rebuilding one then dealing with yours and this way you won't have down time on your current motor

So I decided I want to mono leaf it and cut like a cuarter coil up front and I should have the lows I want, so my friend came over to help and after about 10 minutes we realized we couldn't take the leaf out while they were still attached, so after he left I had a few spare hours and decided to take my bed off since I would need to anyway.

I got the four(I think there are only four) bolts on the passenger side,
snapped two of them


And tore up my hand/knuckles trying to do the driver side, so I'm hopefully gonna get my compressor and air tools tomorrow and rape them with powaahhh.

I wouldn't suggest mono leafing it... Just pull the center leaf and trim down the hangers for the same drop without the shitty ride. I've done them both ways and the only way i'd go mono is if you have a 3/4 ton since the springs are so much stiffer.
