Yeah it's funny, after living with it at this height for the months following H20, I've grown so fond of it that I decided not to bag it after all. It doesn't have to be extremely low for me to like it. I'll still bring it down a little more, but I love it pretty much as is.

The 560SL is a good choice. Despite the horrendous bumpers, it has a lot of upgrades that make it worth going the extra effort for. Let me know how it goes! White and red is a great color combo!

    Funny he should mention this.

I found a really nice '87 560sl, white with red interior, with hardtop, and I'm going to look at it on Sunday. I actually found that car before I'd ever found this thread, I stumbled across this when I googled for images of euro bumpers.

My idea of how I wanted the car to look is identical to what you already did, although I'm going to stay static at the height you are now, but the meshies, euro bumpers, etc, exactly what I want to do.

    Very cool car man.

d'oh! they're not much to look at in stock form unless it's a european spec.

I even had an idea to run the pipes into the rear US spec bumper and make tips that's shaped like the two black rubber nubs.
Yeah that was my original thought, it would look unbelievably crazy if you got it on air and tucked the exhaust. I may still pursue it later on but other things got in the way that needed funds first.
