Question, How hard is it to do maintenance with the LS motor when it is all said and done? Last question, what the does the kit run to get this type of project going? I was just curious because this is an awesome project and I would not mind finding a 911 with a blown motor.

Go to a bicycle shop, request a "tandem mountain bike brake cable". It has that end that you need on it and should be about 7 or 8 feet long

I never would hav thought of that. nice! Also, hobby shops may have those that are'nt pressed on, bout have a hex head screw to lock it in place.
