Cool Project, dig it.
FWIW, if you do the preventative IMS bearing fix on the M96 it's an extremely reliable, efficient motor for many many miles, but by today's standards 295hp is just not enough... and just wanting to do the LS swap is enough of a reason to me, This thread makds me miss my old '99 Factory Aero car.
Window Weld in the tranny mount will work wonders, did it to the tranny mount in my GT3 last winter when I had it out and it's held up well thus far.

Ugh that sensors a bitch. We never reused that one on a friends LSX swap and went with an Inline sensor I believe. And the stock one there ended up leaking like a savage, Ended up pluging it.

Probably worst in the 911 if you ever destroy it - the whole car would be in the way! hahaOriginally posted by white outThanks!
Yeah, that would be a total PITA if it was in a f-body.
Since you already had it seafoamed I can only imagine what it looked like before!

I think I know what that sensor is, but remember the name. Its a check valve that runs on the vacuum system IIRC.

You should have sea foamed the engine while it was still in the car....
Good luck cleaning this mess! And no clue on the sensor. Haha

Good to see this build moving! Get the engine cleaned up and lets see some mockups. Gauges and all that can wait

Just realized you're in Michigan. You're one of 'those guys' I talk about and say, "He must drive that Ferrari/Lambo/Maserati/Porsche everyday! I see it at least twice a week!" There's a guy in Milwaukee that DD's a F430; saw it driving in snow a few times too.
Awesome.
More power to you, hope the build is going well and looking forward to seeing more updates.
