Update time, not much for actual work done on the car but she now has a new home.

For the last few months myself along with a few others have been looking for work space for our projects over the winter. Seeing as I have been planning on moving back closer to the city to avoid the ~100 mile round trip commute everyday plans needed to be made for the Benz.

Assembled was a group of car fanatics. All four of with widely varying skill sets, styles, and experience. I couldn't have asked to be put in a shop with three better guys. The ideas, and knowledge that will be shared among us will really make for some special cars come Spring.

A space was found with exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable enough price. It is in an undisclosed secluded industrial area. Last Friday was one of the most exciting days I have had to date. We got the keys, and made plans to start moving everyone's cars, tools, etc. Saturday was a long tiring day, but we managed to trailer 3 immobile cars via trailer successfully with no injuries or damages.

Right now we are about just about all moved in, just awaiting a couple more cars and tools. We have barely scratched the surface with the organization/plans for the shop, but we have some really good plans to utilize as much space as possible.

Here's a peek at some of what has went on thus far.

Getting this thing on the trailer and the trip to the shop quite possibly was one of the most nerve racking things I've had to do. But it went smooth as silk.

Thanks! Some new coils, oem front bumper with a new lip, wheels, some body work, and giving it my touch here and there. Thing is such a blast to drive. Way more fun than my E90.

love the shaved rear, wanted to do that to mine, but I have no plans on keeping mine. In my opinion, i would see if you could find a different way to illuminate the rear license plate now that the rear bumper is gone, maybe the original two knub's that light the plate may look off without the mass of the rear bumper, thoughts?

Absolutely, we did the filler before decided to shave the rear.

I'm all in for this build. Great progress so far!

Planning on shaving both of them and only running one in the drivers side. Still need to find one to use.

how did you brush the chrome and what welder are you using?

Thanks man! Basically I just took the chrome off with the sander down to bare metal, then smoothed the surface with a 300 grit, then sanded by han in one singular direction with the 300, repeated the singular direction sanding with a 400, then took a metal polish to it a couple times. Pretty easy.

Hrrmmm not a bad idea, will definitely check jnto that when I do all the detail stuff.
