And I have been thinking about going to carb, but i'm just not sure if it is woth it. the Jettronic mfi on it seemed to be working fine, the vehicle had just been neglected to get it in this state. But Carbuerated sounds a lot nice.No worries, It's fine, I have heard that about the bumpers before, but like i said, I'd like to get her running, then tackle wheels, and then move onto aesthetics. I really love your rear setup with the decklid and big wing. Thanks for the helpful insight.

I have made a few mistakes in my writing so far and you have been there to correct me. "Rear engine, midship." "Duck tail, turbo tail." Cool. Internet high five for you. But seeing as how you also have a Porsche build on this site, constructive criticism from your part would be much more helpful than your sarcastic remarks. By all means, you have every right to troll my thread, and there is nothing i can do to stop you, but you are one of the people on this site who could actually be helping me. Thanks anyways.
Getting it running right is the smart way to do it. Sounds like you have good intentions and it seems like you guys are doing a good job with the rebuild. These cars a joy and a curse at the same time. Also don't take my criticisms as trying to bring you down. It's quite the opposite if you have any questions during your build feel free to ask.

And thanks for the kind words about my car. If you like CCWs you should be able to easily find a set on Rennlist or Pelican pretty easily when you're ready. Fortunately they're abundant in the 911 community. I think there's a set for sale right now on Pelican.

i think they're too played out... but you could buy and rebuild these to your specs... rebuilding them would be more then i'd want to spend on wheels though

Whatever you do, be careful. If you crash this car, you will regret it for a long time. Resist the urge to do dumb stuff. You WILL get in an accident, you are not the driver you think you are.

Ask me how I know. You might not walk away like I did.

I gotcha. That site is incredibly helpful and that is where i have learned a lot about the whole mechanical fuel injection and the fuel pump delivery system to get the car started in the first place. After that i thought it was overfilled oil, which a lot of people on Pelican suggested. I used their site a lot. and it is wesome.

I thought about that when I bought it and just registered it under my mom's name. But I'm not sure what it is yet. We go through USAA and i know they get an incredible umbrella plan. Again, I'm not totally sure, but I think a lot of their veteran benefits are included in insurance which takes it down a bit. I know I'll be paying a pretty penny, but it's worth it.

The 16's look a little funny on the 965 body considering that car never came with anything that small and was designed for bigger. The car in general looks like a bunch of parts thrown together. If you did a couple of things to tie in the 965 look that was started it could look really nice. Sorry to sound nit picky, but I'm trying to give you a push in the right direction. My car is a 964 3.8 RSR look and is similar to yours.
