Thanks for the comments and everything. It’s been a while since the last update, School, college apps, community service, and sports have me busy.
Getting everything all cleaned up.
Found some problems
• Bad valve seat
• Tons of carbon build up was interrupting valves
• Rocker shaft seal has this mechanism I cant really explain, and I don’t have a picture, but basically it was damn near about to fall off which could have been catastrophic
• Broken headbolt
• Cracked headbolt
Other than that, it is in relatively great condition, just a few thorns in the paw of the beast caused it to stop running so well.
Here are pictures.
This was one of the problems. The carbon build up was causing it not to seat properly.
I Don’t take auto shop, but I’m good friends with the teacher, so he let me get the keys and I’ve put in about 14 hours after school this week in the shop
Got everything all cleaned up
Cylinders still looking good
Getting closer
Gaskets and rings, and a new rubber boot for one of the cv joints.
About ready to start putting her back together
Went wakeboarding and am earning flight hours so I can eventually fly planes

Originally posted by that911 View PostGetting it running right is the smart way to do it. Sounds like you have good intentions and it seems like you guys are doing a good job with the rebuild. These cars a joy and a curse at the same time. Also don't take my criticisms as trying to bring you down. It's quite the opposite if you have any questions during your build feel free to ask.
And thanks for the kind words about my car. If you like CCWs you should be able to easily find a set on Rennlist or Pelican pretty easily when you're ready. Fortunately they're abundant in the 911 community. I think there's a set for sale right now on Pelican.
I appreciate criticism, and advice. No hard feelings taken. Thanks for your supports, I'll be needing help in the future.
