Yes, you are right. Forgive me, I keep calling it that.

    that is a turbo tail.

and selling any 911 bodystyle with an sc engine running or not to a 17 y.o. for 2.5k would make most sellers cry

Yeah, I should add this to the original post. It's a 1977 chassis, but the engine is an '81 super carerra (3.0 liter flat 6), the interior is original. But the bumpers, fenders, and turbo tail are from a 964 type.

I am the third owner. The original owner owned it up until the mid 90's. He was a Porsche mechanic down in San Jose. the car had a "Team Aftershcok" decal on the rear window. (I believe they mess around with superchargers of some sort) He did the engine upgrade and bodywork.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the positive feedback.

Hell when I was 16/17, I dumped more money into my 280ZX attempting to make it fast than I would have spent on a turbo Porsche. I don't think anyone can **** on you for buying a project with your hard-earned doll-hairs. Most of the fags I went to school with drove Evos and STis that Mommy bought.
I'd like to. Haha Right now I'd like to get her running without burning oil first.
    Thanks.

It's all good. Maybe i should do one of those accumulated cost updates.

    The car was $2,500
(off the top of my head I want to say) $60 for the fuel pump
    $40 bucks in assorted parts
$50 bucks on first oil change, but I'll have to do that again soon.
    $20 decklid shocks
    $60 in books.
My dad bought me the battery as a gift, so let's call that $100

In total, $2,830 and some change.

    Owning a porsche. Priceless.
