Thank you. I hope to have her for a long time.

Pitty about the oil burn thou. Depending on how much its going through, sounds like the motor is ready for a rebuild.

You should go back to 930 bumpers and and tail lights thou,

    dat ass...
Yeah, this Wednesday or Thursday my dad and I are going to drop the engine. There is a lot of build up, so we have to clean it regardless, but hopefully we can find the problem. My dad is damn near a rocket scientist. I’m really fortunate to have his help.

    That ass though…

Just checked. 116,656 miles on the chassis.
I will have to get back to you on the engine miles.

Yeah, I’m not sure on that route yet. I want to get her running first. Of course I would love to have the wheels open up a bit to see those beautiful Porsche brakes, but I’m not sure on wheels yet. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I will definitely not half ass it. Haha I’ll admit It is hard to not go out and get food so frivolously, but this is my priority now.

Again, thank you for all of the positive comments. I really appreciate it. I’m humbled to be a Porsche owner, and incredibly grateful to have such an optimistic community like Stanceworks.

I should get some more pictures up later this week when we drop the engine. I’m using an old fujitsu digital camera. Hopefully I can take some better pictures in the future.

    Thanks again everybody.

yeeeaahh... about that time for a rebuild suggestion... classic 911 engines aren't usually considered broken in til 100k
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

          Sincerely,
          The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

          Show cars are lame.

Thanks Mate, I know these engines are supposed to last a long time when properly maintained, but the engine is burning and blowing out lots of oil, not to mention the oil that is dripping off of the block and pooling up under the car after running. The actual engine is pretty dirty from all the years it sat, so I might as well clean it.

If you have any suggestions, feel free to help me trouble shoot. thanks

If the motor is toast.. I have always wanted to find a older 930 or 3.2 with a dead motor and swap in a EJ25 for that flat burble sound but saving the high cost of p-car motor parts.

At any rate, Check out Rennlist and pelican parts, there is a metric shit ton of knowledge and people willing to help on those sites.

Dropped the engine today, oil all over. Oil drenched spark plugs, and 2 dead cylinders. It isn't terrible. Time to take it apart and rebuild.
My sd card is full , but i took a few on my phone I will put up later.

Super lucky you found such a cool dude to sell this car to you. My friend's first car was a 82 911 and it was easily the funnest car i've ever driven. I'll definitly be watching this rebuild.

Thanks guys. The comments really keep me going and want to add to this.

So for the past week, I’ve been with my buddy Troy putting on coilovers. We did an ’05 civic, the next day a ’04 (Ibelieve)VW Golf, and the next day I helped my buddy on his civic adjust coilovers and changed his oil.

Then I got to business. Dropped the engine, found the few problems, cleaned it up. My dad borrowed a air leakdown tester (Probably not the right name, excuse me.) so we will be doing that tonight.

Camera memory is full, so I took these with my phone.
