  • I pulled the springs last night, without cutting them and without anyone dying.

The fronts blew my mind when I saw how big they really are outside the car (uncut)

Here are a couple pictures while mocking some things up, she's starting to look better.

We started fabbing up upper brackets for the rear tonight.

Just have to notch the factory nipple that the stock spring sits around on the car so my air line has access to my fitting.

Wanted to run my air line out the top so I won't have any lines close to the ground or in any danger of dragging off.

            • Are you running only a f/r system instead of 4 way? I have heard there can be some air sloshing while cornering like that.

Also 1/8" line for the gauges is much easier to work with IMO.

So glad to see this moving forward, you better keep this one for more than a month!

front and rear. and it's a 4000 pound land yacht, not a race car, so I'm not going to have any issues with handling haha.

And if I sell it in a month, I'll be making good money on it, so it'd be ok haha
Even though I'd love to keep it.

I live in Meredith right in the Lakes Region.
And I actually have a same year, same model parts car haha, so I really have pretty much everything I've needed!

thanks man, the switch box came together really well, it's all wired in the car now with a disconnect under the carpet and seat so I can swap out box if I ever wanted to.

                          • That's one nice mockup. Looking forward to you having bagged it. It's a shame that airride isn't allowed on german streets as far as it's not stock, neither selfmade nor bought. You need paperwork for every shit you alter at/in/around/on your car.
If I'd ever move to the states, then for slamming all the classic german cars we can't slam here in germany.
I especially love your time period correctness. I'm looking forward to the result.
                            Great work, keep on!

                            • what are you gonna do with that third spring they put in the rear end? delete it entirely, or does it even limit your travel?
