Looks fantastic! Sucks to hear about the oil issues though. Hopefully it goes smooth and you get to enjoy the rest of the season with the car.

Just wanted to post a quick update on the car. So I found out the car is leaking oil. I also found out my brand new clutch is now slipping. Looks like I have some work to do before H2O now.
Pretty sure that gasket I replaced between the oil filter housing and the block is leaking. Also pretty sure either my rear main seal or transmission input shaft is leaking because there's no way a brand new "stage 2" clutch should slip getting on it in 3rd and 4th after a proper break-in. I'm already in contact with Competition Clutch to get a replacement disc. I'll be rippin the tranny off to investigate this weekend and get it all straightened out. I just dont feel like doing it whatsoever.

Clutch is good and I couldn't be happier with the Scirocco rad setup. The integrated overflow tank makes it nice and easy to fill and no bullshit when it comes to keeping sealed up. I even scored a set of SPAL 10" pusher fans so they're outta the bay now. Cleaned up as much as I had time for but there's still more left to do.
Hittin the road for VAG Fair after work today. be there!

Much better. I also threw on a new dizzy seal. I'm gonna be looking into a way to ventilate the head to the catch can because when you put cams in these motors they tend to puke oil out the distributor at high RPMs with increased oil pressure. This is something I'll tackle in a few weeks when I have time and feel like pulling the valve cover. I'm thinking I might build a baffle block in and tig an AN fitting into it.
So it's goin back in the car tomorrow night, just gotta give the bay a wipe down and re-paint my crossmember real quick.
