So I finally got a hold of one of my own. It's only taken 2 years to find this gem, but I couldn't be more excited about having it.

I really want both of these! I love everything Italvolanti. If they're still for sale in a few weeks I'll probably scoop up the red one because I have a matching advertisement framed on my wall.Originally posted by konradis View PostCar is awsome ! So only one detail ... and dream come true

Anyways just a little winter update, my poor car is back on the jack stands and hibernating snugly covered up against the wall of my shop. I've sold the Rokkor coilovers out of it in hopes of upgrading to some better ones that can handle a full tank of fuel.
Right now I'm looking for a used set of H&R Ultra Lows or Konis, but if I can't find some for a good price I'm going to give the new WRD coilovers a shot. WRD has been at it for so many years, they can't have gotten this wrong, and from what the guys at APtuning said, they're a home run in the middle-of-the-road section of the market.

Finished off the season with one last show, which is always a personal favorite of mine, Dubs in the Trees. In its 8th year, this has come to be the best season ender simply because it's such a chill day. It's more of a meet than a show, lots of friends get together at the People's State Forest up in the mountains in Connecticut and grill/drink beers all day. Great time as always.
Over the winter I have a few plans for fitting some little unique body mods to the car, including redoing a spare trunk I have on the shelf to host a pretty wild spoiler that nobody has seen anywhere in years. I'll probably be keeping these wheels because I'm in love with them, but I do plan to get a fresh set of coilovers. I'll keep this thread posted as always.
I also wanted to spotlight my buddy Connor Mahoney's MK3 which is a car that has just recently come back from the dead after 5 years of sitting in his garage/loss of interest. It's cool to see one of your best friends regain motivation and come out and wow everyone again with a truly unique MK3. Previously the car had a feature titled "Epic Win" in PVW about 5 years ago. It's got a ton of custom bodywork, 24v swapped, shaved bay, and it was static on Image wheels. Now it's sporting a set of original HRE 454s, a nicely done air ride setup, a freshly redone bay, and a shaved trunk to match. Connor's car, to me, is the creme de la creme of MK3s and was a huge inspiration to building my car.

I ended up wiping down the outside of the car & walking around the vendor area. Def shoulda popped it.
Missed you and all the other homies who couldn't make the trip. We will cruise for sure!Originally posted by theseeker411 View PostSo bummed I couldn't make it to H2O this year. Oh well, next time for sure. And both our cars will be rolling on the strip.

I had an awesome time at H2O seeing all the SW boys, various friends from all over, and meeting some new people!
My buddy Curtis snapped this shot of the coupe while we were hangin all day on that rainy Thursday.

The final show of the year for me will be Dubs in the Trees here in CT. It's always my favorite way to close out the season with some all day grilling and beers in a local state park. If you're in the New England area come thru and say hi!

Yesterday I decided to get a little weird after doing some pre-H2O maintenance on my car (front wheel bearings & fuel filter). I grabbed one of those LED brake light/hitch cover jawns from Harbor Freight and modified it to fit my 1¼" receiver. Originally the plan was just to buy a nice plastic cover for it but I figured I might as well have some fun with it. I may also wire it to function as a euro rear fog.

My steering rack has been shot for most of this year. Fortunately it's a manual rack so it wasn't leaking or anything, just made the car walk around on uneven roads.
Took me about 3 hours to pull it, and a trip to Harbor Freight to buy an inner tierod tool. Everything I read online said I would need to drop the subframe but I was able to sneak it right out the bottom behind the passenger axle.

I don't have an Instagram, I find the way a lot of people act on there to be incredibly annoying & childish. lolOriginally posted by kittenpuncher View PostWhats your IG I would love to follow the action on this more closely.
