I really doubt this, but were you driving on the freeway in San Luis Obispo recently (central coast of California)? I saw a white bug with an orange hood exactly like yours driving on the opposite side of the freeway and instantly thought of your car haha

Time to rebuild them, wrapped in 205/40/r16 Falken's I reckon, and put them on Zelda's current body.
And get new drums/discs drilled, then it'll be game time to get them to fit perfectly,

Yep, something dark, but not black, used to want to go black but haven't updated the signature yet...

Well, current body is only temporary but will run the wheels with the current body for now.

New body is coming along nicely with lots of modifications to it.
Colour has been chosen, but will be kept secret for the moment.

They'll be gloss black centers, with everything else just re-polished and looking perfect.
Going to get black lip nuts and so forth after and will just change them over from the originals that I'll put on as soon as I can when I get the chance.

Getting the centers powder coated tomorrow and hopefully getting the wheels back together once the lips have been polished.

Then getting them wrapped in tires while waiting for the blank drums and rotors.

Can't wait to see how the RS's look on there.

Not a fan of the gauge cluster or LED's - I feel like these things look best all-original. But I can't wait to see it completed none the less!

Alrighty, test fitted the wheels today!

From the side, reckon I could go down another inch or so. We'll see what happens...




From the front, she tucks in nicely and has a tiny bit of negative camber.


And now for some underneath shots. It clears the strut easily, but has taken my full lock down to half the original. In regards to the front, there are is one more issue that needs to be resolved and that is where the brake line is mounted. Have to move it up so it won't cut up the tire,


And at the rear, where the bump stop hits the top of the tower, that we need to trim so that when the wheel has travel, it doesn't hit the inside of the barrel.
