If there's anything I've ever learned...

    Never sell your Bug.

You'll always regret it. When my family sold the '74 1303 it sucked, I missed the hell out of that car. Thankfully I was able to buy it back.

    Yes, yes it was.

But, the Subaru should get some loving in the next two/three months.
    So good.

Zelda was picked up last night.

No more Zelda. Was a sad sad day.

Here's some photos of the strip/teardown and the goodbyes.
All from the Instagram's unfortunately. Sorry!

The RS's were the first thing to be taken off.

    Back into the shed.

    Front suspension being ripped out.

Old suspension put back in but chopped the springs.

Last photo of Zelda to ever be taken in my driveway.

And on the trailer. Sad moment was sad.

So starts a new phase of my life with a Subaru '99 GC8 Impreza. I'll be starting a build thread shortly. Have some plans for her already.

    Life must go on, right?
I have decided to part out the bug and start with something a bit newer.

The wheels are up for sale already over in the Australian for sale thread.
I'll be pulling her apart tonight and that's that.

I know a bloke up here in sydney who has a Subie powered Beetle. Orange and i think wide bodied. He had a yellow one a few years back, i think porsche powered with porsche wheels and gear.

Theres plenty of potential left in the old beetle
I think I know who you're talking about. I'd love to go Suby, but I have been swayed to stay with aircooled. Upgrading to a 1916cc in the coming weeks.

Spent the last weekend over in Melbourne.
Took her to her first show with the new wheel setup. Got quite a bit of love which was great!

Got there and back with no problems.
New front bumper has arrived. Will be installing that tonight.

New plan is to fix this bug now. Will be able to do more stuff from home too if I'm allowed garage space.

There's also another big thing in the pipeline for her. Can anyone say, EJ22?

Went for a quick drive to get some photos of the current status. The photos aren't the best but I was in a rush.

Bonnet has been painted matte black. No more orange. Just a spray can job for now.

Front bumper has been stripped of the white paint and is now ready to be polished and have the black strip installed to match the rear.

    Need more rear camber.
