When all of that was done, i started undercoating it.

Used 3M undercoating, the product went on green then dried black.

Fenders getting some love as well.

Only picture i got the a-pillar done in undercoating and the sills as well.
(this is a hint of whats to come

Alright lets move on the left side of the car. First up the floorboard / frame rail.

Yaaay rust.

Time to start cutting. This is from the inside of the car looking on the frame rail.

From the fender wells.

Another one from the inside. Three of the holes that are there, are not suppose to be there.

Floorboard welded up. (this is like 3 months after the other pictures.)

The fuel / brake lines hole welded up. Also a place by the A-pillar.

One from the engine bay.

While that was going on, the wings were also getting done. Right side welded up.

Left side wing, its welded ground down etc then gotten a layer of acid primer.

Here the left side is welded up, ground down, gotten a layer of primer. and sealed.

Right side sealed.

So I'll first show the a-pillar repair. I bought a new A-pillar from BMW. And started drilling out the old one.

Drilling.

Old one out.

Repairing the old corner.

And no more hole in the right side floorboard.

The inner sheet metal with weld through primer. This photo is after i repaired rust on the bottom of the car,

New a-pillar getting cut to length, this time with the help from another friend.

This process took a couple of days, and i cleaned the garage. Notice the missing a-pillar.

Here the pillar is on.

Alright, picking up where i left of at page5.
Found rust in the floorboards and the right side engine bay, the left A-pillar was full of rust as well and both wings were the fenders bolt onto. Queue huge depression and me not wanting anything to do with it.
So the best way to tackle it, was to remove the engine. Not having a engine hoist and a car lift made it a little difficult, it was done on the floor with a jack. With the help of a friend.

As seem. was done with a jack and beer cases.

Pumping the car high enough to drag the engine and trans out the way.

Engine out.

And the obligatory standing in the engine bay picture.

This is the rust by the fuel / brake lines.

The rotted A-pillar.
