Got a set of cryo-treated slotted and vented rotors on the way too. Will be ordering a set of Porterfield R4-S pads next paycheck. I have the bank now, but I've already spent over a grand in two days, so I feel bad. Lol.

Super excited to get this thing fixed. I'm 90% sure it'll be done before SOWO.

      Love this. So cool.

Please do something about the broken front lip. Looks nasty :/

Yeah, the lip is bothersome, but its on the back burner at the moment, the car needs a motor/trans before that. Its gonna be at SOWO, so I'm working towards that.

          New parts in!

Everything but the rotors will be installed this weekend. I gotta order pads and new calipers before the rotors go on. Pretty fucking stoked, very happy to get off my ass and fix this thing.

Brake fluid came in today, also picked up a K&N filter for it. New calipers will be here the 27th, and pads should be here sometime soon as well.

Apparently ATE Super Blue isn't street legal in Florida because of its blue color.

Small update. Gotta stop being lazy.

I got the shocks installed. Wasn't too bad. Had a few exciting moments. But it rides like a new car. Loving it.

Snapped 3/4 bolts holding the rears to the control arm. Good thing they came with new hardware. Those were an experience to get out.

I also found a nice hole in one of my resonators, not like they did much anyway. The exhaust dumps there. I bought tubing to fix it and add my tips, but haven't had the chance to install it.

Should be getting my fenders rolled soon, gonna try to fit 255s under it. I gotta find a set of braided lines for the brakes before they can go on, then get that all installed. Car is coming together, I've got leads on a motor/trans and will be painting it in March. I'll have it at SOWO for sure.

Calipers came in as well. Brand new 560SEL, my Porterfield carbon-kevlar pads came in as well.

Oh, and a random under car shot. Not really sure why I took it.

Got laid off yesterday. So SOWO is a no go this year, and this will become a slow build. Which sucks.

Had a flat the other day, finally had the time to take the tire off.

So I will be picking up either another pair of 205/50/16s today, or 195/50/16. Not sure yet.

Have you had the car aligned yet? It looks like those front tires were getting asshammered by massive toe-out. Those tires should have lasted you a good long while.

Also, please don't paint it flat black. This is a classic, cool Mercedes, not a Civic. A good polish job would make this thing pop.

I haven't, its needed it. Will be doing that as soon as I get a new tire, only the driver front died like that, passenger side is still new.

I'm gonna repaint the body the same color it is, and I've decided I'd rather polish the intake.

Got a new tire yesterday, as luck would have it the used tire shop had the same tire that had blown out on me. So I bought it. $35 is better than $114 for a new one.

Washed the rides today, gonna hit a exhaust shop tomorrow for a quote to get my exhaust done, and take it to get aligned as well.

Just some random pictures I took of the cars when I was washing them today.

                      I really like this one.

I picked up coilovers for the front of the Camaro, so she'll be a little bit lower soon.

Ain't no amount of screwed up toe that can cause that kind of wear. Looks like it's been driven around low on air for a while.

Yeah, I think it was low on air, I said to myself check it, but never did. Oh well, will take it as a lesson for the future.

did you ever get the motor running correctly or do you think you still need a new motor?

It runs fine, but it needs to be rebuilt, runs rich, burns oil, low compression. But the trans needs to be rebuilt before the motor, trans lost a gear.

in regards to the trans, take a look at the page. after the text about what happened, he details different components of the trans and what controls them.
i found this looking for why my 190e's trans lost first and second gear. good info
