So one of the wires was corroded and crumbling all the way into the back of the plug, so I had to take out the pin and solder right to the back and then put it back together and run a fresh wire back into the wheel well.

fcking tedious soldering all these wires. was about 12-15 in total that needed repair

          IMG_3797 by KEV.E, on Flickr

Drilled a hole in the pinchweld, tucked the harness up and then ziptied it in place. Gives me more clearance and should prevent future shredding

Success, no more ABS and TRAC control lights. So now my ABS and TRAC control work again. Maybe some other stuff got fixed too idk

So close to getting wheels on, now all I need is tires so I can start the bodywork. I'm pretty sure I am the first to run flares on a ls400, or one of the few. hopefully I will have tires mounted this weekend.

and then I cranked down the coils a little, since I'm moving to 18s from 19s, just about 3/8 of an inch for now.

looks promising, the flares dont look too bad, maybe you can paint the quater panel when you get them installed. Does look like you coilover is blown though.

All that soldering and you didn't use shrink tubing? Disappointed.

He may have used pb blaster on the coilover cause the collars could have been seized?

Looking awesome dude! I'm loving the look of the flares, I can't wait to see it with wheels on it and on the ground!

Yeah, I just sprayed some PB on there and brushed the threads since they had rocks embedded in them and the lockring was really tight too. They are not blown.

My plan is to bolt them to the panels and get them situated, and then I'm going to body fill and mold the flares to the panels and also hide the dimples where the rivets/screws would go. The flares will just look like widened panels, instead of me going at the car with a roller trying to get a nice even pull on all 4 corners and also having to radius the arches, the flares were my solution.

Yeah! even though right now with just the flares taped on like that, the car did look pretty mean haha, not going for the full vip look anyways.
