I have been eying these things for a very, very long time... a friend mentioned something at meet that gave this a swift kick in the ass. So, I traded the roof rack for them.

So then, I walk out to the garage and do the obligatory comparison shot.

Okay, so I am a smart guy right? I like to think so. I wire these puppies up because it's so dang easy and stuff. I mean, I do it so fast Elena leaned out into the garage and was like "Slooooooooowwwwwww Doooooooowwwwwwnnnnnn....."

    Test the lights, they work!

Hit the hazards and I get the hyper flash...

Then I searched my site's How-Tos and found the fix. Had to swap the plugs for the wires to get everything to work correctly.

I'll get some shots tomorrow if I pull the truck out of the garage. Compared to stock (in the garage with the garage lights on and just comparing against the wall reflection) these things are really bright. I know, everyone says that. Well, everyone is right.

And I'm up to no good once again.

Due to the fact we had a gift card and my wife and son didn't want anything at best buy, I did this.

Not really necessary but it works out good, especially since my wife and son leave stuff in my parking spot in the garage, which I don't see until I notice her running out to move it as I am about to run it over.

Anyway, finished that up just a moment ago. Forgot about the damn headunit cable that had to be run to a reverse signal.

And then I went winter mode. :gd:

The bumper is on one of my work tables and the grille is in my cabinet. They will not be run during the winter. Right now, I don't have a plan for a front bumper during the winter.

Then some maintenance happened. Maintenance... weeeeeeeee

hopefully changing the transmission fluid and filter this second time (since owning it for about 17k miles) will clear up the last few issues from neglect over the previous owned years...

Appreciate it. love having the front end back together and "finished"

Also loving having the big stuff out of the way on at least the front half of the truck exterior wise. Need to replace the drivers door and do my tailgate modification planned, and paint eventually. But everything is at a point now that it just needs small touches to be perfect. Small touches that I am unable to do in my garage. Small touches that require a professional.. and money.

Alright, so today I had some spare time and decided to tackle the headlights and taillights. They have been driving me nuts. Was just going to replace them and swap the parts until I decided to try my hand at fixing them.

These are about the best pictures I have to show how bad they were. The dark spots in the headlights and DRLs is not photo grain, that is the pitting in them.

fortunately, this has saved me several months (possibly more depending on the clear coat) on buying a new set of OEM ones that I would have to refit all the stuff inside into...

btw, if you do this, pull the damn DRLs and headlights off your truck. Masking is a pain in the ass.

Very happy with the end results.

I also ended up breaking the bowtie that was on the G20 grille (haven't found a replacement yet) as I was trying to remove it to remount the center bar. Since I broke it, I cut down the camo bowtie to fit into the "new" hole as best as I could.

I did that and it looked good. Unfortunately, I don't have any paint at the moment. When I do, one of my bow-ties will get painted to match the truck and that will be my "other" grille when I get bored with this one. Keep swapping back and forth.

Funny, When you painted the interior trim that first color I was like Then you fixed it Looks great now!

I keep wondering what the lips of the wheels would look like with that camo wrap like the headliner. Just tossing that out...

The wife picked up some satin black for me, so I finished the grille, everything behind the grille and then some of the engine bay...

Still need to finish a few areas so that it looks clean when standing in front of the thing, but none-the-less, happy with how it looks.
