Well, I ended up making it down to the upholstery shop today and the guy stopped what he was doing and wrapped my airbag for me.

So, now I just have to wait for the little black bowtie emblem to arrive for the center of the circle.

Also, I did a lot of research on this. Spoke with several people in the upholstery and custom auto industry to make sure I wasn't doing something unsafe. If you look at the top photo, you can see how thin this material actually is since the impression of the bowtie is able to be seen through the cover. I know this is something that can be very unsafe if not done correctly, hence this little disclaimer.

    Merc, they came from Ebay.

If you are looking for a set, simply search for some cup holders that go to poker tables. They work well to insert into projects like this...

And since I continuously update this thread..

I was able to finish the wrapping tonight.

And when the little one is asleep, no power tools allowed. Gotta go Amish to make the lid.

Now I need the cup holders to get here and figure it a latch system for the lid.

Have the stuff glued and sitting. I'll probably finish it up over the next week.

Also painted the glove box xtreme emblem.

    And I shall.

little progress with wrapping the console. I have to do the driver side panel as well as the back, then cut out a lid and wrap that along with mount the hinge and magnet.

Righto... so I made some more progress as I found a little time to steal away to the garage and make a mess.

Built the majority of my center console. I honestly wasn't planning to do this until it got warmer out, but today surprised me and was about 50-60 out so and I happened to go to Home Depot this morning with my son, so I built it.

    This was the initial plan

Started off with a 4x4 sheet of 3/4" MDF

made a template with cardboard and made some cuts

And the final mockup for the night.

Like I said, hadn't planned to do this so I have to order some cup holders. Once those arrive, I can cut the holes for those (you can see the placement in the last photo) and figure out how I plan to do the top lid for this.

Then I'll be able to wrap all the pieces and be done with it. I'll be doing the outer pieces in the same black that is on the outside of the seats with the center section being the same brown.

Unfortunately, the only air that will be going on this trucks suspension will be helper bags for the rear. While I love how vehicles look laid flat out, I don't really feel the need to own one. Plus, with the route I am going with the new fender flares, it would be complicated and not look right to run air, at least not in the back since those wheels don't camber when dropping the truck.

I can always go back to that... If I do, it would be a brushed aluminum look. I kinda like the bronze though. Unfortunately, my phone can't actually capture the color. It always looks like a dingy orange.

I might do a flat black radio cluster still. This turned out well, but I am not sure if I am totally sold with it yet.
