  • I love corvettes. The body lines seem to pop a lot more with the minimal wheel gap. Looks so good

    • Oh my goodness.... So when are we stretching tires here?

      • The only thing that ever truly bothered me about corvettes was was the wheel gap haha after you squash that they're so good. Concave wheels are amazing on these but I agree the 360s just weren't the right kind of concave to do justice.

                • Wow..thanks for the comments.

Just a little update: Since I last posted in this thread, I have been doing HPDEs all summer. Ran it on my 19/20 Michelin PS2s and pretty much destroyed these $2400 tires. Also ran Michelin PSS tires in a size down 18/19, and am ready to go with something stickier. Also got a newer built set of Pfadt coilovers with shorter/stronger springs to increase travel and performance. For next season, I already got a set of 18/19 light weight OEM Speedlines and had them powdercoated black. For tires, I got Toyo R888s and am looking forward to running some R compounds. Track season is done for me this year, but in 2014 it looks like its going to be a blast. I don't plan on doing anything else to modify the car for the track...just run it how it is. No towing either...I drive to and from the track.

I got a lot of ridicule for tracking the car at this height...even had a NASA instructor who holds some lap records tell me that the car was too low, and that my lap times would significantly drop if I raised it back to stock height. Interesting since during that particular DE, myself (on Michelin street tires) and a Roush Stage 3 on full slicks, coils, etc. were the two fastest in our group playing cat/mouse between each other all day long.

Also got some mountain cruising in late this year as well.

Yes, that's a child seat on the passenger side...my 6 year old son has been my wingman all season for these roadtrips.
