Don't mind me, just throwing ideas out there.

The only problem I have with these big expensive wheels is the weight. When I had the 360s on, the car seriously felt sluggish. The whole reason I went with 1 piece forged was so that I could hopefully stay the same weight or less than my current ZR1 wheels. Well, that was not the case. The 360s were considerably heavier, and I doubt I would have broke 12s in the 1/4, and my confidence to take it past 1.0+G sustained was not there. I knew I had to get rid of them. Granted, I did have the shitty Nittos on there too, and had full intentions on getting some Michelins later on down the road...but a guy found me that wanted them, so I sold them.

Since powdercoating the ZR1s, putting new Michelins on, getting a tight alignment...the car has never felt better. I have some track days (road course mostly, but a few 1/4 mile runs) lined up this year, so I feel more confident than ever in my current setup.

And don't be mad...I actually had to raise the car some, because I was rubbing like hell on hard braking. I know its hard to classify it as stanced, but in the vette world, it is considered slammed and stanced.

      • Your car is pure sex...the epitome of what a modern vette owner should do...after all these cars suspension were designed and perfected at the nurnburgring (probably misspelled that) and I always see it as a waste everytime I see an automatic corvette with big heavy heavy oversized rims. My dream car is a 1992 corvette btw (dad owned one). Keep up the good work man

comparing vette leaf springs to any other leaf spring arrangement is like apples and oranges. it isnt conventional!

          • Made some more adjustments to bring the whole car down about 0.25"....subtle, yet manageable.

            • Went to a wine tasting event this past weekend...All vettes were being parked in the grass. The guy parking the cars got frustrated with me, because we couldn't find a level enough spot for me to get into, so he walked off pissed. I started to just go ahead and park in the visitor/spectator lot, when some other guy running the show came out and helped me get into a little trench just beside some paved parking spots.

              • I'd like to see a little more tyre profile and coils wound down some but it looks great!

Unfortunately....the front tires at about 11:00 o'clock will hit the front splash guard of the fender. I had it lower, but it restricted movement of the tire. I raised it touch, and it rubs something awful during hard turns. I raised it touch more and it rubs only during certain situations, but nothing like before that hindered performance. Remember...it's a Z06.
