Hey everyone, it was a long weekend up here in Canada so I had some free time. Decided to man up and get serious on the benz. Since I last posted I haven't done much. Changed the oil, fixed the wonky idle, drove the car a ton. Decided today that it was time for low, sorry but I only have a crappy iphone hipster picture for now. I'm slowly working on the bag setup for it but my Jetta is being painted right now so I still need to drive this car until its done.
I think I got a bit carried away though. Its fucking lowI drove it to a buddys house tonight and I made sparks multiple times. I was pretty sure it had a bad wheel bearing in the back but after lowering it, I'm 100% sure, so that's next on the list of things to do. Anyone have advice on this? I can't find much info.

nice man, wheel bearings are easy to find online, they tend to make a thumping noise especially around corners, relatively cheap part, I had my mechanic put it in for me but if you have tools and the know how, I'm sure you could tackle it.
loving the height.
I also found it your squeeking/creaking when shifting or just going over bumps it can be the rear control arm bushings, easy replaced and they totally took away horrendous noises I had for a bit. after swapping them out it was quiet as a mouse

Yeah, when the weight shifts to the back drivers side corner (ie when turning right) it makes a loud whirring noise kind of like helicopter blades. It wasn't that bad before so I figured I would just do it when I had some free time. After lowering it I can feel it in the car now. I'm not sure if its because there is more stress on the hub from being low or because I have left it too long. Either way, I enquired about the parts I need and I will be ordering them ASAP. I also realized that pretty much all of my exhaust hangers are worn out. The exhaust hangs so low now and hits on everything...
I will take a better pic tomorrow, in that pic the one rear spring was still stock length so it's a bit deceiving.

Yeah just did some searching around and found this: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/DriveShaft/RearWheelBearings
Doesn't look too bad, although a lot of things about this car frighten me haha.

Alright, it's been a while. I have been out of town every weekend for the past month enjoying the final days of summer. This past weekend however, I got some shit done. I put my daily back on coil overs. The bag setup I had on it was shitty (BOC) and the airlift rears I just bought got holes in the plastic bases after about a week of driving. I decided the air ride setup would go to better use in the Mercedes. The managment setup I was running is solid. I took my time building the bag brackets for the Mercedes so hopefully I won't have the same issues I did with the Jetta.
I was browsing through classifieds the other day and something caught my eye. An old Eaton's footlocker for 30 bucks. For those of you in murica', Eaton's was a department store in canada for a very long time. It went out of business in the late 90's iirc. Went and picked it up an hour later, the dude who was selling it was at least 90 years old. He was awesome and he told me that he used to keep his money in it. I also picked up a broken cluster and stole the clock out of it. Now I can finally tell what time it is when I am driving! The trunk houses the management for my air ride. I am running an Air Zenith OB2, E-Level and a 3 gallon aluminum tank. No pics inside the trunk at the moment but it is super clean looking. I even did a few hardlines. Onto the pictures!!

Are you putting the air setup in the old foot locker in your trunk? I know there is a brand new beetle on air with an old chest with his tank and everything in it.
I think it will look so much more at home on a classic Merc.
