nothing too impressive today,
got the stereo working again and decided to throw in a fire extinguisher just in case.
then pulled the front end off to paint the lip and start patching the facia/air dam
was lucky to have an extra laying around so i just marked out what i wanted.
and after a bit of trimming ...
i got it welded all in, but I'll save you from those photos since the welder what a POS that wouldn't feed right. After a quick grind down I slapped some bondo on it that is drying over night. Hope to have it painted and back on tomorrow night so I can move on to other things.

so a little update as i dive into more work on the car tomorrow.
first was HID's got put on the car, dig it a lot but still need to aim them
then me air filter got stolen off the car, lucky for me I had a spare one laying around to hold me over till i get another new one
our shop detailer decided to take care of the oxidation and hard water stains on the deck, looks so good that I'm sure I'll have to do the rest of the car.
repainted the grill satin black and added a grill badge, I have a germany one that I still need to add.
and with most of the chrome being oxidized and not being a huge fan I started to refinish it for a more brushed look.
tomorrow will be a busy day on the car and hope to have some more updates.

so today was nothing major, I've been trying to hold off on doing brakes still I could do the pedal box, hydroboost delete and ABS delete. Needless to say Sherman had other plans as I was starting to grind.
getting the pads off they were more than gone.
compared to the new one.
the rotors got a bit eaten out of them, but they are also warped. I will end up doing new pads, rotors, brake likes, and brake sensors at a later date. This time it was just a pad slap job.
after that I decied to get rid of the rake on the car, cut another 2 coils out of the rear.
perfection!

I'll have an update next week as I'll be getting the car ready for its baseline dyno pull, but figured some creative ideas when I have to deal with those over priced BMW specialty tools.
first was the expensive press tool for separating the getrag 260 case, they only way it will come apart is if you press it directly on the input shaft. So a trip to the hardware store I got a flange, pipe, and reducer then just drilled out the flange so I could mount it on exactly where the specialty tool goes and got my pulley puller and press it right out with no problem. Total cost was $20.
next was servicing another getrag 260 and needing the 17mm hex tool, $30 tool ordered online. Instead .15 cents for a 17mm head bolt and two locked nuts that I welded on for good measure.
so for change in the pocket I now have two tools to add to my growing box, means more money for sherman.
