but I know you want it poopy brown with black in it.

Looking good though and props for being an honest buyer, and as nice that the seller rewarded you for sending back the headliner.

    Cheers mate.
Haha yeah the white is just primer, that won't be staying for long thanks though

Really starting to take shape now.
I'm not exactly set on the specific color, just something similar. I will be painting it myself and I will keep what you said in mind. Thanks

Thank you everyone else for the comments or input

    • kind of a lame update because I forgot my camera so I had to use my phone, so the pictures look shitty. Won't let that happen again.

Time to give the M10 some attention:

All of the little components were sprayed with this type of coating (which I forgot the name of), it has a primer grey look to it though and it's supposedly durable and rust/corrosion resistant. We cleaned all the bolts and used gold washers on everything and the colors look pretty cool together:

All new seals and gaskets everywhere (except head gasket):

This is as far as we got today because of the missing parts, more will come soon with better pictures.

      • lol you're supposed to paint the sandblasted parts before you re-assemble them with the engine
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

        Sincerely,
        The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

        Show cars are lame.

Dude you should probably read the text, too.
Like that color, looks like a zinc-primer. An eyecatcher painted in some sort of gold or bronze would be a nice addition, though.

Yeah it's some sort of zinc coated paint or something, I honestly forget what it is at the moment. I'll check it out next time I'm up there and edit my post.

              • Just an idea, try rubbing some Meguiars Protectant spray on those hoses to make them shiny black.

Majority of the hoses and lines will be replaced with new ones, but I'll try that on the ones that are staying, thanks.

                      • Got some long awaited parts in the mail that were out of stock when I ordered them (unbeknownst to me at the time, found out after the order was complete that it'd be a few weeks). Anyways, as I'm unpacking everything, it became apparent that my new parts were trying to tell me something:

                        Those feisty little shit heads.

Pictured are 2 brake master cylinder elbows, 2 plastic throttle bushings for the pedal box and a pilot bearing.

close enough. paint the primer before you reassemble it

                          • i think i might have to bag mine now..
just wondering is the flare work necessary to get a mad tuck on?

i am thinking of offloading my 15" SSR's and stepping up to some 17's in similar spec to heist.

                            thoughts?

If you want to run anything 8" wide and up, I'd personally say flares are necessary. The original body doesn't really handle wide wheels all that well.
