Finally got some goods for you guys
There is a mixture of iPhone/DSLR pictures...
First off, I've been busy plugging away on the BBS RM's and have made good progress on them, they are almost finished. I still need to refinish the center caps and dimple rings. It's pretty insane the amount of time I've put into these, I'd say close to 6 hours on each wheel. Once I had them apart, I was ready to start stripping the faces/barrels:
Stripper applied:
It may seem like it was cake to get them to this point, but it really wasn't. It's super tedious and messy. It took me nearly 6 hours just to get them bare. This was even more inspiration to build a nice sand blasting booth for my shop. I also stripped the barrels fully, not really necessary but I'm stupid:
Fast forward a few weeks, and here they are. Super happy with how they turned out! The powder coater did an amazing job. Try not to get distracted by the large ugly taped off sections where the lip and barrel meet. I originally wanted to run polished bolts, but once I put one together, I didn't like the look. I decided to have the bolts matched to the wheels and I think it looks way better. Since the bolts got coated too, I had to double layer a ziplock bag over each individual bolt to install them, and then once again to torque them so they didn't get scratched. Talk about time consuming. They are all torqued and sealed up now, so now they are ready for tires!
This is how they looked with the polished bolts, I really didn't like it. The all black looked much more "sinister" to me:
And last but not least, the 2002 is finally down at my shop! Expect fruitful updates on the regular again

Thanks for all the love everyone! I know I've said it a few times recently, but it's just a matter of time before I start pumping out frequent updates again. Working on getting the '02 down to my shop and then it's go time.
