Exhaust should sound pretty good. No sections though, just all one piece?
Glad the inj were at fault and it's working well with the new used set!

I called OK Injectors yesterday to talk to them about why my 19#ers were failing so badly and what they could do about it. Turns out that when the ship the injectors out the cover the inside of them with some sort of lubricant to keep them from rusting during shipping and before installation. How ever, if you do not install them with in a certain time period, the lubricant which is paraffin based will harden and cause the injectors to fail like mine did.
The gentleman I talked to on the phone had no problems with taking the injectors back and cleaning them out for me again. After I mentioned What car they were going into he asked me what forums I was on and even knew about my 2002 build which was a nice surprise.
All is well that ends well. Ill have them back in a few days.

Well the 2002 is not going to make it to Bimmerfest like I had hoped. I have run out of money, have no job, and just like everyone knows every time you think you are done with a part of the project you find another problem you have to fix.
-Wheels do not clear shortened pitman arms. Need larger wheels = $1000
-Need drive shaft professionally shortened and balanced = $200-300
I think the car is going to get towed back to my place and is going to sit for a while so I can get a job, save up some cash, and pay off my credit card. BUMMER
It might be good though. I have been working on this thing so hard and so fast I think I have lost perspective on it. It will be good to take a brake.

Sorry to hear about the no-job and too bad most of the stuff isn't working out, it all looked soooo promising.
Advice:
- Sell the wheels, get the money to get the right wheels
- Don't completely stop working on it, as it may become a dust collecting project (like I have in the past :[ )
- measure the driveshaft and figure out how much needs to be chopped, get a quote. It may even be less than you think.

Respect for keeping an optimistic attitude about the whole thing. I'm in the same boat as you, I've been unemployed for about 5 months now living off of my savings (which are dwindling ever so quickly) and I'm starting to approach broke status. Time to find some income!
And I agree with TeckniX, I've heard shortening a driveshaft costs around $150 at a reputable shop, so maybe it will end up cheaper than you think. Hang in there dude, it'll all come around again.

I just need to step back and take a fresh breath of air. All I have been doing 24/7 for the last month and a half is living with this car. I am starting to loose patience with it and I can tell it is effecting how my work comes out. I just need a brake.
Its going to be sitting out side my house and Ill be starting it every day and letting it run, and I am sure Ill do little things to it here and there. Just cant keep my hands off of her
