far from my ideal setup. possibly the dodgiest thing I have ever done. it works. I trust it.... kind of.

just need to bolt exhaust on and get a new extended clutch line and I'm done. no doubt ill be back at it again in a month due to a dead clutch but oh well

As long as your welding skills are good than I can look the other way, lol. I would have suggested picking the motor up some to clear the pan. That, or changing the pan around a little.

the welds a strong. had the welder. its a 200 amp welder and I jacked it all the way up with .9mm wire. whole end was glowing by the time it was done. I did raise the motor but then by bonnet wouldn't shut. brought the engine forward and then the radiator wouldn't fit. I have a spare front sump. ill maybe modify it later and swap it out when the clutch goes.

So everything was going awesome. did some sick skids. then I hit full lock once and bent the plate welded to the drag link. bent it back but it slowly got worse. so I decided to modify the sump but pickup was under the drag link. turned out that the mid sump actually clears everything perfectly on the 2WD. apparently its just the IFS 4WD models which require front sump. so changed the sump for a spare mid sump I had. By far the messiest job I have done on a car. being underneath it with oil dripping everywhere was horrible. but now everything clears fine. got a new drag link lined up so will throw that in later. for now just waiting for the sealant to dry.

I wanna see the vids! Why is it all of these trucks have oil pan fitment issues? Almost every swap into one of our trucks has this issue. Mine normally is rear sump converted for hardbodies but I just picked the motor up some more.

so its all done minus one weld to my exhaust (got a new system). unfortunately my arm had a run in with a my welder and my eye with a shattered grinder disc. probably wont be driving/working on it for a couple days due to not having any decent depth perception. I'm so angry

I have been tackling another grinder-eye incident and a problem with stalling at 3000rpm. Fuel pump wasn't cutting it so I used the lift/primer pump, and high pressure pump from a VL commodore. Works mad good now.

Unfortunately it's still really loud so I don't take it out much. Also my old work closed down so money has been tight. Working on adding another muffler to the mix to quieten things down, but I think my exhaust gasket is leaking, and causing some horrible noise. If aussie laws weren't so tight, I'd run strait pipes. Already putting together the GTE engine. will hopefully rebuild the turbo soon, but thinking about going T04 route. Regardless 200 galloping ponies from the N/A is a wonderful improvement on the 22R. Will try get my brother to record some skids. Shitty video of it driving just for proof its not dead. Sorry for the loud music I was trying to drown out the exhaust.

I know I haven't posted in a long time but oh well. not much to update. car has been running like a dream. took it to a buck and spinster night yesterday. did awesome skids, is crazy fun to whip around. had 2 cops look for any problems, and they didn't even notice the different engine. on the way home got yellowed again for bald FRONT tires. im ever so saddened.

Man I don't know how you guys do it with such strict regulations. My truck would probably put me away for years over there hahaha. Your truck sounds killer though! I'd love for my truck to emit a straight 6 sound.
