thank you so much!! It is getting lower in the next couple weeks. ideally i'd like there to be an inch gap between the fender and the rim of the wheel..
Soon! I had a free hour today so i decided to start hammering the fender lip flat. Its going pretty easy, i just gotta get a bigger hammer...damn thick swedish steel. Also, the fron wheels barely clear the struts. Like a mm if that.. the numbering on the weight is enough to keep it from spinning though. Ive gotta take off the undercoating on the strut and hopefully thatll be enough to clear. Also, the order for the read adapters went thru today, so hopefully theyll be here next thursday by the latest. This is fun haha
i lowered the rear some more. this past week i kept saying i was going to do stuff to the volvo. school work was a priority, though. today was productive, though. I polished out the headlights and the tail lights (both got a little better..still have to get new ones to be all clear though). after i got off work earlier, i decided i'd cut the rear springs some more. took another 1.5 coils out to make it a total of 3 in the rear. i would do the front, but i dont have a spring compressor to give me room.. that'll be tomorrow if i finish my hw early! (hahaha i feel like im in high school when i say that).
so here are the pics..

its got about a half inch of travel. I may cut the bump stops, but if i do that, i may feel the need to cut another coil haha. i'll probably do that anyway though.

plenty of room. you can see where the lip is rolled. it gave me another inch or so of clearance.

this is with the front jacked up so i could compress the front suspension.. thats about the gap that i want to have in the end.

mid-polishing. right is done and left is OG. it'll do until i can afford new lenses.
and just a random picture of it, pre re-cut coils. DSC01640 by sebarbour23, on Flickr
