I hope you're just going to clearcoat all this junk. I love the look of bare metal.

No matter what I do, it's still a Cavalier.

So I just read through all 27 pages with I admit some skepticism in the beggining, but its quite clear this isn't the average build. Props on my behalf sir. The only cavalier I give a shit about. I'm stoked to see more progress.

Got a text message today saying my dash would be in paint by the end of the week, and then he'll start the bezel. Pretty excited to hear that already.
Not working on the car tonight, I'm doing laundry.
You know that pair of boxers you **** because they're just too small and you save them because it means one extra day you can go without doing laundry? Yeah, I'm wearing that pair today.

So, never staying home to do laundry again. Spent a lot of money. Gas tank will no longer be factory. That was literally the last piece on the car I've never replaced.
10 gal fuel cell.
Operation: make the lolcavalier completely indestructible from the underside is officially 100% sorted out.

Finished plating my bumper rebar tonight, Nothing exciting but had a couple hours into it, so deal with the pictures.
Should have my bell crank pivot back Thursday, so brake operations will resume Thursday night.

I'm currently at a loss for words about this thing.
The fab skills, the insane idea of it all. Unbelievable.
This may have been covered a few pages back, but those wheels are Enkei's that you had the lips widened by weldcraft? I have always wanted to try that as a cost effective way to have cool wheels.Last edited by Strawhat; 03-20-2013, 10:35 PM.Originally posted by electricalbox12 inches of goodness!

I just love the idea of making your own engine mounts to move it up because I want my cavalier to be just as low as yours and with all the things you've created because they can't just be simply bought is crazy to think about.. I wish i just had a personal you when I needed it

Yes, the lips were widened. In all honesty, it was not SUPER cost effective. I would, however, go this route again. It opens up all sorts of crazy wheel options.

Pookie, will you be doing something with the dash, or will you be leaving it the OEM color?
Also, your fuel cell idea... fabulous. Just, fabulous.
Any chance you think you'll be done by summer?BB6 Prelude . . E36 ///M3 . . VA WRX Limited . . 1969 Nova

As far as the dash, it will be all factory colouring. The radio surround/cluster bezel thingy is getting a tonne of work to it, but will still be factory textured and coloured.
