I've been humming and hawing what the hell my pedals were going to be, initially planned on running a full Wilwood set of pedals for "ease of installation". Thankfully, Mike (the dude with the e30) has a set and I quickly learned they wouldn't fit for shit in my car. So, my minitrucker roots started showing through, and I came up with this:
Yes, they're all bungee-corded in, yes, that's how I intend to leave it. (). The pedals need to move around slightly, but again, they're bungee-corded, so fuck off and quit judging me.
The PCM/BCM debauchery is all mounted, but I have forgotten to take pics of the plates I made, so whatever. You can see it in the current pics.
Going out shortly, hopefully get at least the gas and brake mounted for good today.Last edited by HooWybrow; 03-14-2013, 09:54 PM.

Seems like it'll be a bitch to fill the reservoir when bleeding the brakes yeah?
Filling shouldn't be an issue, the dash won't be in. And checking level shouldn't be required because it has a "low-level" sensor, another bonus of using the factory crap.
Got all the bracketry for the booster designed tonight, having my cousin fold me up the beginnings of it tomorrow and should have it mounted by tomorrow night, I hope.
I didn't take any pictures because it's all drawings and crap like that.
So here's some fish-eye pictures of how the heap looks now!
I also dropped my dash off Sunday to be dealt with.
Can't wait for it not to be an ugly piece of doody.

Next, this whole bolt-in roll bar thingy. Where the rear bars attach, there are bolt holes. In my opinion, thanks to my OCD, having actual bolts/nuts there would look absolutely horrendous and drive me fucking bat shit crazy. Even though you can't really see them,
So I came up with this, to use a PTO shaft clip from a tractor. Now, they definitely don't fit like I want. The pin is obviously too long, and it is also 1/8" too skinny. I'll likely wind up making my own pins and fashion the steel clip over to them. This gives me a good idea of what to base my idea off of, though.

Had a side-job today so I tossed the front end back on the car and pushed it outside. Decided for ease of working under the dash, I'd back the car in this time.
Got around to making my booster bracket tonight, so far, flawless execution.
Step by step:
And tacked in place:
Very, very bad pictures. It's hard to get my dang phone jammed in there.
Regardless, so far I'm still confident this is going to work, hahaha.
Threw the front sheetmetal on and took pictures of Mike's car and mine.
Life
is
GOOD.

This is normally where I would reply to comments, questions and concerns, but I'll just leave a big empty space to signify my tears:
Started my bell crank last night, again, might actually work! I'll let the pictures do the talking 'cause I don't feel like typing anymore.
Having the inner rod machined and center-drilled today or tomorrow, then I can build the top bracket, and start the linkage. I know what you're thinking, "That booster rod is sitting on the column support." You're not wrong, but it has yet to be modified. RELAX.
