This past week i had a local car nut that the area knew very well pass away to a very sick illness. We had a little meet/cruise in honor of him and drove up to a Chinese Pagoda up the mountains of Reading PA. These theme was purple to show support. Finally got around to start prepping for the new front end. At the moment im having some issues with the tailgate and getting the old paint off but ill update on that at a later time.

Sanded down a little and took emblems off.

For this grille coming out of a junk yard where it sat probably for a good year this cleaned up very nice through the sanding process.

Layed down the first coat of primer. After that its sanding down one more time to smooth out any runs and then 1 more primer coat and then paint. I am going to paint it the color of the truck if all goes well.

Stepped up to the plate and rolled the fenders today. The paint cracked a little but touch up paint will fix that plus its in the inside who cares. These are quick pics and will look alot cleaner come spring time.

Gained a good 2inch's of space in the front.

ALSO FORGOT!!!! Did a quick PS of what the new suspension in the back is going to bring along with lowering in the front with the coils. Don't mind the front end due to it wont be there much longer.

Thanks man. There are a few flaws but you really have to look for it and i am on such a budget i am glad it came out so decent and everyone likes it.

Heres the Tailgate. Its pretty much stripped all the way down to the metal/primer. The rest will have to be done by hand. Using stripper worked great.

And for the grille..... Not Happy at all! I was about 90% complete when i came downstairs to check to see the progression on it drying and come to find out that my dogs were being nosy i guess and knocked it down into the grass when the paint was wet so i am basically starting from square one. This time ill be a ittle smarter about the animals.

very nice progress.. i just wish you could get wider, bigger wheels. Need a lot of poke, and low. BUt the details you've done so far are awesome.

Thanks guys. Kaido is on to something and that will be happening come spring time. I don't like the fog lights either but at the time they were the only ones that fir besides the stock ones that are like $300 brand new. With the new front end conversion coming spring time they will be gone.
