One thing I can say while walking around the car and looking at it with the rears under it... from some angles it looks downright bizzare, but the smile on my face will not go away. This is getting good.
I don't know that I've mentioned it yet, but I've decided to put the 1UZ and T5 5-speed aside for the 190E, and I'll be going with a VG30 for the Z. It's smaller and will suit the car much better than the Lexus V8. I'll be picking up a motor and tranny in the next couple weeks and once I have that, the frame will start going together.... finally.
When the motor in my Forester blew I asked what the reason was... I spent a few grand to get me back to where I was a month ago... but with worse gas mileage. Now I can see it. If that wouldn't have happened I would have been sitting with a $2,800 Built T-56, which would have been fine.... but I'm much happier going with the VG. So, everythinig does happen for a reason.
