Things are slowly coming together. Still need to order my pistons, gaskets, and ITBs. Everything else is here and ready to go. For now I will be leaving the stock valve train in so I can attempt to pass emissions then I will swap out to the 304 cams and dual valve springs.

I'm also still deciding exactly what ECU I will be running. I like the AEM EMS4 but I'm limited to 4 cylinders should I upgrade in the future. I'm debating on just keeping the 4AG in the car permanently and focusing in the body next.

Here is an update I am actually excited about!

Thanks to Mike at Track. One I now have a freshly built forged crank, rod, and piston 7rib 4AGE short block with oil squirters. It has 8:1 piston it it for a supercharger/turbo so I will be swapping them out for some high compression pistons. Block already has AE86 GTS mounting brackets on it along with everything else i need, except a crank pulley and alternator. I also picked up a T50 trans that is crazy clean, so its possibly been rebuilt also, and already has a GTS bell-housing on it. Only thing left to do is build a head, pick up some ITBs, and it will be ready to drop in the Celica for wiring. I am leaning towards the AEM EMS-4 and converting to COP but still unsure.

I will still be giving the engine bay a cheap paint job before the motor goes in permanently but will not be shaving anything until I decide to restore the entire body and paint the car.

    Expect more updates soon....

I'll be sticking with the 4AGE.
i meant the 71-75. but the 4age is cool. 20v?

Thanks guys! I think this is all for the best. Keeps stress levels down and will make me able to enjoy the car even more.

....and after the engine is in I'll be scouting for a new legit and aggressive wheel and tire set up.
