update time!!!
had some time off i had saved from last year that i needed to use so i took the day and went up to Ravenworks to make a payment for the work done so far. First i want to again thank the guys over at Ravenworks for for their customer service. If anyone here wants to have motor work done you have to check these guys out.
alright with that out of the way here is the status of the motor. Block has been bored out!!!

they ended up taking a lot out for the pistons to fit, i have to redo my displacement calculations later today hehe. we did run into a few problems. First the head gasket is too small now and i am going to have to have a custom one made. luckily Ravenworks has worked with a shop here in town so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. second one of the pistons was two grams heavier than the rest... ugh... i am waiting to hear back from Venolia to see where it is safe to have material taken away. With the piston speeds this thing with reach it is critical to have the whole rotating assembly balanced. But this is why i had Ravenworks build the motor since they are much better suited to deal with these problems than i would be. thats pretty much it for the block at this point
the head in the other hand it basically done!
we ended up having to do a bunch of extra work to the head so the springs all sit level. these motors originally used a single valve spring and so since i went with duals the area where the springs sit needed to be modified so everything would fit. the ports look amazing and HUGE and i can't wait to see how this thing performs!!!

also brought my valve cover down to see what it is going to look like on the head

yeah i think that will do hehe
i can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. if i didn;t have to get a new head gasket the motor would be done by the end of the week but we have to see what the turn around time is going to be. i'm out of town next weekend (cousin's bachelor party in canada) so hopefully it will be done when i get back.
