    Don't knock it til you try it.
    Seriously though Volvo springs are soooo soft that even cutting them doesn't raise the spring rate much, just temporary while I wait for new wheels and build a set of coilovers.

    78' Volvo 242

    Picked up a 1978 Volvo 242 yellow over brown, 117K on odo, 4 speed with overdrive. It needs a stickerectomy and some minor maintenance but is headed for a slow and low V8 swap.

    Day I got it



    Caulked up sunroof FTW


    The 14's were dry rotted and suck so craigslist sold me these as a temporary


    Add in some chopped spring altitude adjustment


    And it's still too tall


    But it gives me a starting point.
