Passed! On a free retest, will be able to afford road tax now
Got a few advisories: Offside rear anti roll bar linkage has slight play, service brake only just met requirements (New cables? calipers?) Different size tires fitted to front axle then rear and my personal favourite : Front tires very close to bodywork 8)

Just fitted a new lambda probe, so needs the tires fitted and will do the rear disc's and pads as soon as
I have my jack, then i will book it in for a retest. kind of thinking now how I want to keep her on the road after all the effort of getting a pass. Won't have to car share so much with the missus that way and I can still do the Turbo just over a couple of weekends/have a week off work. The new clutch will require the flywheel being surface ground and a 450 mile break in period anyway, so I need Her to be legit for that really.

SPEC stage II clutch now on order from the States! Whilst I was messing around with abs bulbs decided I wanted the old dials back so removed the green ones and painted the needles red this time...

That's the difference between me and you, I look at it like a challenge and a good time
to learn about diagnosing problems and fixing shit.

Right up date on the MOT situation:
ABS light now functioning correctly after I reconnected the split wire in the rear sensor.
OE black dials being fitted with black gauge rings and red needles.
OE CAT is not blocked nor is there any exhaust leaks, however the Lambda probe looks decidedly white in Colour, so I'm assuming silicone poisoning along the line somewhere.
Already had one part worn (6mm) 195/50/15 so I have bought another, so that's the front tires sorted.
Someone is lending me the rear brake winder tool on Monday so will get new discs and pads in the week.
Also this morning fitted a new sump plug and crush washer which has stopped the weeping and chucked in some Stop smoke treatment as it chucks out a little blue smoke in the cold mornings...

Took some photos while She was nose up in the air...

Also invested in a Torins big red 1.25 Alu low profile Jack to make life easier.

I've got 99 problems but time ain't one.

Bummer about the MOT fail, that would piss me off to no end. In to see the progress, since you pretty much HAVE to work on it now haha.
