I know people wanted more on this build so I will just keeping posting stuff up
With a few gaps in the rain today I went out and affixed the new fan to the rad, then it was time for something a bit more fun then fixing broken shit, and that was to break some shit...

Remember those full length side skirts I have, well not full length anymore after I hacksawed the end off. Booom front mini spats!

Got hold of a set of these 323F rear spats too to see if they will work as add on's to the mx rear spats.

Also note stock wing mirrors back on, and the generally filthiness of my car

3mm mild steel feet to bridge the gaps cut ready for drilling and folding. Next stage grind the feet of the celica runners.

As well as the seats I'm also reworking my cooling system. The repairs that I had done twice to the missing top radiator expansion spigot are failing again, this is where I'm loosing coolant from so S/H radiator has been bought (98> Ford focus 1.8 Deisel TDDI/TDCI)with all spigots intact this time. Have a new working fan to go in that the car runs as it should.

Going to be running a coolant recovery system with a filler neck in the top radiator hose (lucky I kept the old one)
and a catch bottle to be tucked away somewhere. Have a 0.9 bar double seal cap coming also which I can change
to 1.1 if I want when going F/I.

Been a shame to say goodbye to my alu. expansion pot and stainless top hose but engine bay will look a lot tidier this way. Once I have fixed all the little running problems I'm going to be hacking up some side skirts I have had for ages that no one wants to buy so I figure I will
put them to good use and try and create some front spats and some add ons for the rear spats.

Just need some good wheather now as I have far too many car parts in the flat now , although it is quite cool having seats and wheels about the place.

Cheers Man, shocking to think really that people still to do to this day modify them like that, with nasty chrome 18"'s bad tint jobs, ufo body kits and lexars lights, although with stock ride height lol.

As you can see not a million miles away, but enough for the need of some custom feet on the celica subframes to match up to the mx floorpan. The rear mount closest to the handbrake is sidemounted so that would need to come off anyway.

Thanks People, appreciate it! Currently battling out a few running issues which are holding up the real mods. I wanna make. Snapped two alternator belts in a matter of weeks (Lesson learnt, don't trust a certain garage anymore after they put the belt on without even loosening off any of the tensioners! wanna know how they did that tbh?!)
Was in a rush as had to get the Dentist..

I put a new belt on the weekend and elimanated all the horrible screeching, my sump plug has started weeping and I'm loosing water from my coolant system somewhere,
New rad. on the way so I can cut that from the equation and if that doesn't solve it I'm going to simplify the system even more with an inline filler neck and coolant catch can
as I cannot see coolant leaking on the floor so it must be evaporating into steam somewhere.

MOT next month so will touch and go as to whether I will get the new seats in for that or just afterwards depending on how arsey the brackets are to fab up.

THannks for the good comments People, I shall be back with the real mods soon.

Tan leather seats fell through as they where just too far gone to save, so instead I got hold of a pair of these uber comfy Celica vvti seats to fit up for the banging price of £140 delivered. Been meaning to fit some new seats for a while now, but what really broke the camels back was the Wife spewing up in the motor Friday night, cannot get rid if the nasty smell! So there's only one thing for it...

Just finalised and bought the parts for the exhaust downpipe which will be 2.5" leading from a 2.5"-3" cone welded onto this 3" oval to round transition pipe and onto the flange.

Really I always think of it as a baby RX7 (JK) Cheers Bro, got some exciting things in the pipeline, trying to get hold of some Mazdaspeed half sideskirts only corksport copies but good enough me and also a full tan leather interior aswell.

Have to disagree, maybe on Euro boxes they work better with a chunky center, but this car has too many curves for that, plus a black center will really bring out the spokes.
Bagged these nice alu. MS center caps to go in the middle of the bolt cover.

195/45 or 195/40 and some camber to get it flusher for sure!
Thanks Man, should look good when painted and on with new rubber. 195 on a 9J is too much stretch though for my liking, 205 is the minimum I would go, hoping with a bit of camber I can run 215.

Wheel refurb. started as I'm back at work I could use the turning lathe to
sort out one of the edges. Could of done with some weld filler, but our welder
might have gone back to Poland for good! So I just made do with emery cloth.

Next stage was to remove all the wheel weight and associated goop with a wire brush drill attachment.

Then onto a 80 grit flap wheel to remove old debris and brake dust.

Then a final going over with a scotchbrite wheel to remove the shine from paint
and a good wash out with hot soapy water, then flushed with plain water from the hose.

    Next step Paint!
