I drove the car about a quarter mile from my shop too my house last weekend. I still have a lot of finishing to do but it's mostly minor details that i'll be able to take care of here as its much more convenient to work on the car at home since I have a young daughter.

I cleaned it up a bit since it was disgusting from sitting in my shop for months, the quarters and side skirts still need painted and I've got a new hood that won't need a hole in it to paint and get on as well!

No, I won't be working outside...I have a two car garage detached that you can't see in the photos. While having the large shop is nice, it's humbling to be back home working in the small place that I first starting tearing cars apart in.

    ^ what he said.

If you read the opening posts of this thread it's explained very clearly as to why I built this car with this particular engine.

Not knowing what engine to use was no part of the decision.

If I had a junk Ferrari around I likely would've swapped that engine in...But junk Ferrari's don't just fall into your lap. Junk Chevy cars with V8s do.

If you drop that Maserati engine and all I need to make it run off at my shop I'll be happy to give it a home in the bay of an e36 though

Chevy V8's are abundant, simple to work on and parts are cheap. They've been an icon in the auto industry for 40 years. Of course you want to drop one in every car.

ill be the only one who says i **** this..... only cause i worked with rednecks who want to stick a chevy motor in to anythng that has wheels... i mean if you really didnt know what kind of a motor to stick in a e36, i got a maserati motor kicking around...
